Finnegan Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Neither of the first two are much to boast about. Should have been far more convincing. There's a reasonable array of premiership talent in your U21s playing against, basically, amateurs.
C-man Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 This Albion fan is the most fiercely loyal England fan I've ever seen.
Leicesterpool Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 The 23 for Brazil Hart, Butland, Carson Walker, Johnson, Cahill, Jagielka, Lesscott, Jones, Baines, A Cole Milner, Townsend, Sterling, Gerrard, Barkley, Wlshire, Lllana, Chamberlain Rooney, Sturridge, Lambert, Vardy Please explain why?
Uncle Albert Posted 14 March 2014 Author Posted 14 March 2014 Please explain why? Like the majority have put Wilshire in their squads, God knows why you are only quoting his 23? Ego trip? If you reply to this with any Fabian Delph shit then I am starting a poll on getting you banned.

Only good thing is it might finally mean as a nation we are lowering out expectations a bit. (Even more so as that Welsh youth side we beat with PL players in 1-0 also lost 1-0 to San Marino)

Not quite sure what's gone wrong with our U21s. They were fantastic four or five years ago but now Allen, Ramsey and Co have graduated there's been nobody even half as promising coming through. Doesn't help the likes of Wilson and Huws being bypassed to the seniors though.
Corky Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Would any take Defoe to the world cup? No, not been in any sort of form this season (due to not playing enough, in fairness) and we're not sure how much he'll play for Toronto.
Guest MattP Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Would any take Defoe to the world cup? Sol Campbell would.
Jimothy Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Sol Campbell would. I'm trying to think of what Sol's England team would be, but I can't think of a black keeper, so he probably wouldn't play one
Munshi Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I'm trying to think of what Sol's England team would be, but I can't think of a black keeper, so he probably wouldn't play one Blackman, no seriously.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Blackman Richards Onuoha Morgan Rose Chalobah Reo-Coker Delph Sterling Sturridge Welbeck
LeicesterBran Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 This will is what my England squad would be for the WC. Goalkeepers: Hart, Forster, Ruddy Defenders: Flanagan, Johnson, Caulker, Jagielka, Cahill, Baines, Shaw Midfielders : Johnson, Chamberlain( if he continues his good form), Lallana, Sterling, Gerrard, Huddlestone, Henderson, Wilshere, Barkley Attack: Rooney, Sturridge, Lambert, Welbeck or Rodriguez. Standby Butland, Walker, Davies, Delph, Barry, Townsend ( altough I reckon he is overrated he does play well for England, Hooper or either Welbeck or Rodriguez. I'd rather have Welbeck as standby.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 This England side isn't that bad, if we can get them playing together, such as the five Liverpool players we may surprise a few...
kingcarr21 Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 England's kits for the 2014 World Cup are unveiled. The new home and away kits have been created by Nike with a "focus on cultural design details and the best in performance innovation". Both kits will be worn this summer at the World Cup finals in Brazil, with the white strip making its debut in a friendly against Peru at Wembley on 30 May. "Two references really stood out during the design process for the home kit - that stunning all-white kit England wore in Mexico in 1970 and the idea of the armour of English Knights," says Martin Lotti, Nike Football's global design director. The home and away kit to be worn at the world cup. Could the inclusion of Barkley in the photo be an early indicator of him making the squad for the world cup along with Sterling i wonder
Dan Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Watching Liverpool & Southampton at the weekend proves yet again we really can hurt teams at this World Cup. Hodgson has got to take an attacking mentality this time. We're that much better in attack than defence it is unreal.

Hodgson has got to take an attacking mentality this time. We're that much better in attack than defence it is unreal. the southampton newcastle game was pretty much england vs france Was great to see three potential england players all get on the score sheet. I just hope Hodgson goes all out attack in the world cup cause for once i feel like we have nothing to lose. But im sure the media will hype up the expectations closer to the time and we will play a more conservative game and in the end not get out the group whilst playing boring football.

Closer to England v France reserves. How many of Newcastle's side on Saturday regularly play for France? Southampton are a credit to the English game. If more of our clubs operated in the way they did, England would be the top side that they should be. Tell you what Newcastle really have fell apart since Cabaye was sold. It's a good job he was sold in January rather than the summer. Can see it now in the World Cup. Hold on to a draw against Italy, lose 1-0 to Uruguay, beat Costa Rica 1-0. Finish third.
