Final Fantasy Resonance

 

Great game, great concept, with a job system ("visions", among them previous FF heroes), summons.

Thoroughly enjoying the demo.

I remember F1 manager back in the day. Fully licensed. You could spy for tech upgrades.

It plays like the old FF titles with very little room for error.  It does force you to vary each attack and you can switch characters in and out mid battle.  There is this overdrive meter that also adds a further level of difficulty.  It's all explained as you progress but the story at the moment is complicated.  Lots going on.  

 

I went through Banishers once but have now got rid.  The constant pushing down on the left thumbstick to initiate a run is bringing back stick drift and this controller I have is only 2 years old.

Im lucky if i get a year out of my xbox controller. Stick drift, shoulder buttons losing their spring. Think sonys controllers are better made that xbox.

I've just downloaded RDR2 and playing it for the first time (it was on offer for about £20..... 

 

honestly... i'm in Chapter 2 and it's all very MEH. story is slow to evolve... travelling from anywhere TO anywhere takes about 3 weeks!  

 

Am I missing something here???

The early game is a bit of a slog. Especially the snowy mountain at the beginning. But i remember not being able to put the game down. Been a while since i played it though but from what i can remember the story does begin to pick up

I'd stick with it, it's a slow burner but does have a good story that pays off.  Whilst it's an impressive game, it suffers from people massively over hyping it and saying it's a GOAT game meaning when people experience it for the first time they'll feel they're missing something.

Depends how you play games really but to me the whole point with the travelling is that it should take you about 3 weeks because you go exploring every single thing you see on the way

I've played through RDR2 twice and I've never thought "this is taking to long to get here"....unless you just don't like expansive worlds.

 

There is also Fast Travel to loads of places if you buy the camp map and set up a campfire.

Suspect the game just fundamentally isn't for you because this is part of the appeal of it.

My brother convinced me to download Valheim, never heard of it but its a game thats been in Beta mode for a few years and now finally released. Its a bit dated but i can see the appeal in it. will see if i can really sink my teeth into it
