Been playing the original Skate on gamepass, it really is a near perfect skateboarding game, mechanically, as someone who skated to a reasonable level once upon a time it's still just a joy to play and unmatched in terms of mechanics, the stick replicating the movement of the pressure foot is so simple when you think about it but whoever was in that meeting and came up with the idea, what a brilliant person. I recall skate 2 (not on gamepass) being better by memory just the map and whatnot with very similar style and feel but for whatever reason they butchered skate 3 (which is also on gamepass, might give it a blast but my memory is it was doggo). Looks very good for a game that must be knocking on for 15 years old now.

Loved Skate when it first came out but I remember the learning curve being so incredibly steep it put me off. I'm not sure why Skate 3 wasn't quite as critically appreciated, although they could have done a bit more with the game, the polished gameplay, soundtrack, and additions like being able to get off the board and some of the crazier challenges made it the best of the series imo. Played through it in full only last year - it still ends up hard as nails but it ramps up the difficulty much more gradually than the original. Gameplay still holds up really well

Looking forward to the next one, just hope it isn't too far away. I only briefly played Session thinking it would be similar, and found it absolutely horrible to play. I can understand them wanting to make a skateboarding sim but it felt like they purposefully made the controls as awkward as possible to put off everyone other than the most dedicated people

I found the physics in skate 3 to be off, it didn't feel as polished and gravity was somehow off, like when you needed to do a certain grind in the previous skate games it was difficult and it'd take you lots of tries to nail it but it felt like you could chip at it and make marked progress to achieve the trick and you just had made player error where as in skate 3 you'd feel a lot less in control and in the laps of the floaty physics, I remember it having a really off-putting brightness as well. I'll load it up later and see if maybe I'm remembering it too harshly.

Getting a little further into ME Andromeda and so far i am really enjoying it. The jet pack makes the fighting mechanics so much better and more fun. I like the idea of the story also. With subtle hints at the original trilogy. Im hoping it keeps me wanting to play more.

yeah i am as well honestly. viewing it as a spin off rather than a mass effect game has helped, but having the trilogy fresh has got me picking up on the references i missed before. its slower pace is making it harder for me to really get stuck in though, i find myself exploring a lot more and not really hammering through the story .

The slower pace to it is what makes it appealing i think. Im enjoying just driving around looking for minerals and really trying to decide what to spend my research points on. I get the feeling this wont be a game where by the end of it you have everything unlocked and can pick and choose what skills to use from a selection of all of them. So i really have to decide how i want to play through it.

So glad i finally took the plunge into the Mass Effect series. Looking forward to what they do when they make the next game

lol not on Havarl yet, i went to Voerd (not sure if spelt correctly). For how much i am enjoying the game it is quite buggy so im not surprised you have had problems. I think i am actually enjoying this game more than the others, just seems like there is more to do and explore. Im hoping the next ME game will incorporate this game with the story telling of the trilogy

Gave skate 3 a go tonight for an hour or so and unfortunately it was as I remembered, so floaty and the contrast just too much, not as good as the other 2 imo. I'll stick to the original skate to just go about on, it's just more enjoyable.

Latest Hitman trilogy on Gamepass.

Loved Agent 47 back in the day, so nice to sink some time into this.

Although, it's a completionist's fvcking nightmare. I'm not a hardcore 100 per-center, but usually if I was playing this kind of game I might have a go at doing the challenges, but there's just so many of them and they just require you playing the same levels over and over with little reward.

I've given up on the idea and am now just breezing through it.

Outer Wilds and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice downloading today.

little tip, do some challenges and then die, the challenges are done and you can do others when you respawn. unless you're like me and have to do every level perfectly in which case you start the entire thing again

Oh nice, I kind of assumed they wouldn't register if you didn't complete the level.

Although yeah, I'm the same. Destroys the immersion just spamming challenges like that. Bit daft.

My god I really struggle to get into and complete games unless they are just mindless shooters like COD.

To try and rectify this I have uninstalled warzone (becoming unhealthy) and have installed Mass Effect LE.

Any tips? I have never played any of them.

the first one hasnt aged well so smash through that sharpish, dont get bogged down doing side quests on planets in the maki, though some are good it gets boring fast, talk to your crew to learn more lore and take your time with ME2 and 3. dont forget to feed the fish in 2

I 2nd this about the first game. I did every side mission in the first game and they were all practically the same and didnt provide anything to the end game or subsequent games for story continuation. The stuff you do in the Maki (vehicle) is pretty pointless in exploring the planets and finding resources. You don't need them. So just smash the main quests.

I would recommend deciding on whether you want to play Paragon (Good) or Renegade (Bad) and stick to it. I played Paragon and enjoyed it but i am looking forward to playing Renegade.

I loved the ME trilogy as i had also never played them. I am currently playing ME Andromeda (standard edition) which i am really enjoying and is only £6 in PS store. I would recommend buying it now before it goes back up in price. As i reckon you will want to play it after you finish the trilogy

How long roughly does the trilogy take.

you could probably do it in about 90 hours if its a straight shot but you dont want to do that, i would guess 20-30 hours for ME1, 30-60 hours ME2 and 30-40 hours ME3

I'm exactly the same, I only have time to play in the evenings at weekends so just jump on warzone. But I noticed that God of War was only £8 on the ps store so giving that a go this weekend. Last game I played with a story mode was RDR2 a few years back and loved it.

Allegedly if you flirt with your PA (Kelly?) She'll eventually feed the fish on your behalf. I missed this trick and gave up buying fish after clearing out all the bodies for the third time. I'll make do with the space hamster.

Also, does anyone else find the hammerhead in ME2 even worse than the mako (as if possible)? Made from tissue paper and armed with a spit gun...

I think all the vehicle sections are a bit rubbish. Best vehicle i think is the one in ME Andromeda but it has no weapon. It can easily get around the map though
