Donut Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Just like the commentators said, that was reminiscent of his dad. Made himself imposing. Great stop
xHamzah Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Now I see why other people choose club over country, this is absolute shit. Great save from Kasper also
morris1234 Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Not making this point on the friendly as that would be stupid. However, does anyone else feel that England have a bit of an identity crisis? Never seem to just have a game, there are always different permeatations and combinations with random formations and players out of position. Coupled with the fact that after Germany proved how lethal their youthful team were at the euros and Spain showing how important technique can be, we seem to have just bought the idea at quick notice and almost stuck in a routine of trying something new and being surprised when it does/doesn't click... P.S great save kasper.
J.Lisemore Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Oh my word. I know this is a friendly but this is sleep worthy. Kasper clean sheet is looking good.
Dan Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Truly drab half. Only been remotely impressed by Sturridge. Why does Rooney sky about 10 shots a game for England?
EastNeukFox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Am I the only one who doesn't want Kasper to concede a goal? Nope! ......but I am Scottish!!
Corky Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Great save, would've got a standing ovation at the King Power (well, he gets one just for turning up usually). Only moment of a boring half.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 I'm trying to work out which atmospheres worse. The Welsh game or ours. I'm saying ours.
lcfcsnow Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Rooney off for Barkley and go 4-2-3-1, please. Criminal that we have Sturridge out of position just to accomodate him.

P.S great save kasper. IMO it's been like this since Glenn Hoddle's sacking which was the last time England actually played like England with direct and fast tempo football. We knew then that we weren't as good technically as other nations but we used to counter it with our OWN style of play. Sure we came up short but wow those games were incredible to watch. Since those days the FA has been desperate to impose 'technical' football on the England side but we simply don't have the players to do it yet. So what we are seeing now is a sloppy mush of styles which is meant to imitate whoever is number one in the world rankings at the time, and in my opinion has actually resulted in us going back technically rather than forward.
Finnegan Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 I'm trying to work out which atmospheres worse. The Welsh game or ours. I'm saying ours. we're going for a bit of We Love You now. It's depressing how we've gone from selling out the Millennium Stadium to 10k gates in ten years. They should drop the prices right down to a fiver for the Euro Qs. With a free ticket to your next game if Bale or Ramsey pull out after you've bought your ticket.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Its terrible. We just don't have any flair players. I'm sorry but I hate Rooney. The whole set up revolves around that idiot at a detriment to the rest of our team. .I'd be happy if he broke his leg ruling him out of the WC. At least we'd have to mix it up and realise we can't rely on him. .

I've watched the last 15 mins of your game. You have a very good midfield but Bale may as well have his own ball he's trying to do it all himself. Edit- ok he's just set your goal up But the other players must find it incredibly frustrating. We all know Kings very good at running onto a ball at the edge of the box but its like Bale wouldn't trust anyone else
Finnegan Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 To be fair to Bale, he's drawn a foul or got a cross in from most of his possession. This is the first time I've watched him and felt he seems to want to do it all himself, though. To be fair, we don't have an attacking midfielder and Robson Kanu is shit so there isn't really anyone near him to offer much. He misses Bellamy, Williams or Ramsey to play off. King plays a pretty deep role for us, Coleman doesn't give him much freedom to roam forward. Allen has the most allowance to drift but that's not really his game. Edit: And that's why he doesn't pass to anyone. Taffy Ronaldo.

marko Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Danny Welbeck always reminds me of Gerald from Hey Arnold.
Soar Fox Posted 5 March 2014 Posted 5 March 2014 Just saw something on twitter, 8 years ago last month Shrewsbury played Bury. In goal for Shrewsbury that day was Joe Hart the Keeper in goal for Bury was Kasper Schmeichel.
