Atmosphere Today

It was definitely good in L and K and the family stand I guess. Especially second half. Non stop singing, just how it should be.

F... (orget) rest of ground, it's all about L1/K1!

I watched the replay of Wednesday game. It was noisy and every chant was L1/K1 chant  :trumpet: .

It was poor.

The problem is, yes it was a 'good atmosphere' compared to normal, and it was a 'great effort' compared to normal, but again it is just so so poor.

Are the acoustics really the problem? I remember going to the play-offs at cardiff, a newer stadium than ours with a similar design and presumably similar acoustics, and the volume was far greater than all our home games at the KP put together. The visual aspect was also different, you could see all around the ground fans with their arms aloft, just like the away fans at our place after scoring a goal. Whereas at our ground, apart from L1 nowhere else seems interested at all. No chanting, and especially no standing even for a single chant.

For me the problem isn't acoustics, it is simply the demographic which attend our games. As i can only attend week games (work on saturdays) no matter where i sit (L1 excluded) the average age of the supporter is over 30. Many of which are with a single friend, a partner, or young child/children under 16. To attract a more vocal crowd, it must be more appealing for the 'student' age group to attend, and at the minute, it isn't.

This is the biggest load of shite ever, WTF has people being over 30 got to do with it, It is purely and simply not everyone wants to stand and sing, I know loads of people mid 40's who stand sing etc, it is about passion for the cause not age

Thought it was poor. It certainly wasn't 'on the brink of promotion' stuff on my side of the ground.

This.

It wasn't awful but it wasn't anything special like it really ought to have been.

Whilst it's a generalisation from Grewks, is it really that unfair? I think it's pretty hard to disagree that the lions share of your singers are going to be in the 18-30 age bracket.

Energy too. You're more likely to sing and shout if you're an active and out going type of person. I don't think it's incorrect to say that generally younger people are more likely to have the kind of character that lends itself to singing at a football match.

Surprise surprise, the atmosphere was shite in SK1, again.

One game wonder.

There is little chance for you, so infidels, embrace your only true god of THE atmosphere, L1/K1!
Join the dark side of the KP Stadium! We are awaiting you...
Join us, and together we can rule the galaxy of Premier League...

That SK1 effort against Charlton was so ****ing overrated. I applaud them for trying it but it wasnt any better than the laughable Fosse Boys in all honesty.

The Fosse Boys would jump up and down singing lcfc duh duh duh duh duh lcfc and then turn on our own supporters for not joining in by singing songs like "can you hear the leicester sing". Did absolutely nothing to even try to improve the atmosphere.

The SK1 effort was a better idea on paper but you couldnt hear a thing from the opposite side of the stadium

It's so embarrassing how few seem to grasp the concept that both SK1 (the bit that makes any noise) and L/K aren't actually facing each other at all so the noise will not travel in each other's direction.

And lets not kid ourselves - neither block has thousands in it singing.

People on both 'sides' (that alone sums it up) are too obsessed about bigging themselves up whilst not realising that the problem actually comes from division, as well as shite acoustics, and a woeful ground layout.

SK1 was not shit against Charlton. Anyone who says it was clearly wasn't anywhere near the place. It was a genuine 90 minute effort from about a hundred, it's a start, you aren't going to replicate Olympiakos-like noise with a hundred of you.

Union FS is a long-term thing IMO but the short-term is absolutely bleak. It was not good tonight and the place should've been absolutely rocking. Nearly any other ground in the league would've been, why isn't Leicester?

Brighton game will be rocking for sure. Got tickets in SK1 myself and a few mates but wherever you are in the stadium on Tuesday night it's going to be much much better

Come on you super Foxes!!!

Personally I enjoyed last night I'm SK1.The usual lot in there practically sang the whole game,if nobody heard and wanna slag off what we're trying to do then fine.I'm happy at the minute so I don't give a damn.

Did look like L was good last night, but why the other 20 odd thousand don't wanna join in is a total and utter mystery to me given our position.

I can see that in places in the ground it must have been quiet last night, but to say the atmosphere was poor last night is harsh.

I do think there is a problem with how the sound travels, and not all of the ground hear each other, but from someone who stands in l1 I thought it was very good last night, but will have to agree it should have been more of a party atmosphere.

I can't comment on the rest of the ground, because if there is a lot of noise in your own block, you can't hear anywhere else.

I will say if tonight was good, Tuesday has got to be a party atmosphere, no excuse, every man, woman and child should be up for making some noise, no excuses, there will be no pressure, promotion is secure, so let's saviour the best season in a long time.

We need to stop being so hard on our selfs regards the atmosphere, having been to a lot of away games, trust me we are good at home, probably one of the best in this division, even the mighty Hillsborough is poor, derby were worse, most home fans are shite in this modern era, but we are far from poor.

Hope you are saving yourself for the qpr game! We had a blast in bournemouth last night, apparently we were quite loud.

I wouldn't say loud but not bad.Sang throughout and was a laugh.Read negative comments about some of the songs we sang last night. Some people just need to lighten up or have an extra beer or somthing. But yes Steve will certainly be there for QPR,beer for breakfast I think.

Sorry you mean you were load in the pub.Brilliant.lol

Well fvcking said. People having a dig from both areas are embarrassing.

I still don't get it why the club can't shuffle singing sections around and/or unite them. In most Continental European football stadiums that I know, the hardcore fan groups are sat behind either one of the goals and act as one unit.

But not in England.

Then again, I doubt the club or the FA would like this, as it would mean that our singing sections would have to move to the Kop, which leaves the away fans section untouched, or to the Family Stand, which would see the away section transferred to one of the two corners next to the Kop.

The ground accoustics have been designed to push any sound towards the pitch that's why you don't hear each other unless you're all singing the same song in unison and why the players comment on it being good to everyone's astonishment.

People should stop all this "we're better than thou" and just do their own thing. You're rarely going to get the West Stand and the rest of the East Stand on their feet singing just like the filbo main stand, east stand and double decker so stop moaning about it.

You're starting to come over as a complete tool, just because you shoot your load every time you are in L/K it doesn't mean every other fan wants to be there staring at the away fans for 90minutes.

All your posts are telling folks to move to these blocks, it's not the be all and end all of atmosphere you know.
