Atmosphere Today

Credit to every single one of you who went. Love watching the fans on replays after a goal has gone in. Utter joy and ecstasy when Nugent and Wood scored. Well done to all :D

Reflecting on this season as a whole, our away ends have been a big improvement from last year and one of the big positives for me is that there's a lot of young lads travelling away who are really up for making an atmosphere. Not only that, they're keen to utilise how whole songbook and sing our older songs (Bring on the Sunderland, Iwan is a Welshman etc) which is great.

I was worried a few years back when it seemed that these groups would only sing the most popular song at the time (normally being sung by another team). Our concourse for the last few games have been quality and should hopefully improve in the prem as we have more 'big' occasions.

Big credit to everyone at Burnley though, it was a memorable day out. The cricket club after the game was a good laugh too and nice to chat to some Burnley fans who were complimentary of us and the team.

Villa away 1st game please!

Agree completely. There are still a few kids who want to make a name for themselves by "inventing" rtip-off songs but the old school songs do seem to be going quite a lot these days.

Hope we keep this concourse culture going though, love a half-time mosh pit.  :D

Top away day. Beats Norwich a few years back for me.

All started out on the 7am train from Narborough. One of our lads forgot his train tickets so ended up having to fork £43 for a new ticket! lol He made up for it though with £35 on Nugent first goal @5/1 Jammy git.

We were well watered before the game. Atmosphere at the game was quality, we had a right neat pocket over to the bottom left of the stand. Non-stop all game.

Funniest moment of the day...one of our rabble lives near Oxford so gets a different train from Birmingham. Ends up Waking up in Bournemouth at 11pm lol Too many  I think!

Ended up hitting my pit at 5:30am. Wasted.

It was something special on Saturday. I loved every single minute of it. Even in the few spells in between when Burnley were sort of threatening, we kept the singing going and never looked back.

Amazing support, great atmosphere on the whole. Simply all-positive. The joy carried everybody right through to the end - and we were bloody loud, too!

Probably my best away experience up to this day.

I've said all season it's been better than last year.

There was something seriously, seriously off about our away support last year. I couldn't get my head around why. We took decent numbers but the majority of them were just complete silence. It was woeful.

It's been better from the off this time around and I think a lot of it comes down to high expectations. No-one really expected much from this season and I think it'll be the same next year in the top flight.

There's hope for us yet.

We've had some cracking away atmospheres this year. Watford, QPR, Bournemouth were great, even a traditionally poor away day at Ipswich we were loud and behind the team.

Was it you lads keeping the Zombie Nation/Riyad song going?

Was quality in that bottom corner, if only every game could be like that.

Compared to Saturday. Very Poor.

Wigan fans on twitter saying they were very impressed with our support? i think maybe because the support on sat was phenomenal

Saturday was the best ever away end I've been in at a Leicester game. Tonight was always going to be poor in comparison but probably could have been a bit better given we had over 2k there.

explain?

I suppose you would have had to have been there!

What struck me last night was how few people sing When You're Smiling???

Tried to start it last night and there couldn't have been more than 20 people singing it, then someone started the Melbourne chant and 100's of people joined it.

WYS should be belted out with so much passion, do that many people seriously not know the words to it??
