words cant describe how awful this would be lol

My view of the idea.

It'd be hilarious - even if it was just for the intro before the first match, or when they're reviewing our first match. It'd be even funnier if none of the pundits mentioned it and managed to keep a straight face

This is pretty much exactly how I imagined it. How can we make this so? It's been such a journey for us the past few years, he needs to do something like this!

I don't know - Gary is totally happy making a bit of a fool of himself so I'm sure he'd be up for it - whether the BBC would let him get away with it is another matter entirely. Although wasn't there a cup match against Blackburn a few years back where they claimed they were neutral, then the camera panned back to reveal the studio draped in Leicester City flags?

Personally I think it would be really tacky, and I'd prefer he did something a bit more subtle - maybe wearing a City tie. In any case, knowing the PL they will probably have us away at Chelsea or Man City that first day, in the hope that we will be on the end of a 4-0 thrashing.

I can see him doing something subtle like a lapel badge or cufflinks and he'll certainly want to talk about it but I doubt he'll go that far.

Lapel lol Impossible not to laugh at that word after watching Sopranos.

I don't want to see him go full FTK, as someone said it would look pretty tacky, nothing wrong with a badge, tie or a pair of blue shoes or something though to get the message back to us.

That said, MOTD had Russell Brand on last week, so I have a fear we are going to see the program enter an ITV style age of dumbing down over the season.

Tbf the Russell Brand thing was for sport relief wasnt it?

A blue and white scarf would do it, don't think he needs to go full FKW.

I really don't think there will be public outrage at a few tongue-in-cheek references to Gary being a Leicester fan, no matter how blatant they are.

Russell ****ing Brand? What? I'm glad I missed that.

Oh it was awful.

Truly terrible.

I hope the BBC learned their lesson, but I wouldn't bet on it...

Not sure why people are saying it would be tacky, it would be meant as a joke. Nobody is suggesting he should be a FKW every week.

It was painful television, ghastly.

I've slagged the BBC off consistenly over the years for a lot of things but I've never accused them of pandering to the idiots by dumbing shows down until Saturday.

when he was taking a selfie of himself with the trophy I cringed like a mother****er.

However, I would love it if somehow, in some alternate universe, Lineker did actually go FKW every single week next season for MOTD. A compilation of irate fans phoning Points of View (become more wound-up week-on-week) would be amazing
