Nigel pearsons interviews/Personality

He's brilliant in interviews because he answers the stupid questions with a sarcastic and obvious response. Journalists asks such shite questions like 'the opposition will be a tough game, won't they?' or 'What do you have to do to win the game?'. He makes them look stupid and rightly so.

Let's be honest, the tail end of last season his interviews were frustrating to the point were he just got Shakey to go out and talk to Stringer. He has changed this season and actually answers the questions put to him quite well.

Masterstroke though.

Shakey's a much more engaging interviewee than Nige. I love his prematch ramblings with Stringer.

He does have a pretty monotonous voice but I'm not remotely bothered. I find him quite intriguing.

We've had the clowns like Holloway and Sven that would be all entertaining in interviews, I much prefer Pearson. He might not be the most entertaining manager but he talks about wins a lot more often than all the others!!!

Well Vichais worth in the last Forbes list was 1.6 billion and KingPower the company will be worth more than that

Since before they bought us?

Wow, where have I been?!

There is no way they were billionaires when they bought us - I remember seaching their wealth when they tookover and it was definitely in the millions

I like his interviews, doesn't make lists of excuses, pin all the blame on referees, bang on about finances or delve into mind games (which basically is code for slagging off/ insulting other clubs).

This.

If we have an off day he will say so rather than blaming the ref for giving a throw in the wrong way or something.

Just operates with utter class. I cant think of another manager who doesn't slag off the referees.

Even last season when we had some awful luck he just shrugged his shoulders and said 'shit happens'.

I dont think he has once blamed an entire result on the referee when at times he would have been right to.

Maybe this respectful approach has given us the benefit of the doubt a couple of times this season.

Love how he pauses to try and articulate his thoughts too, he knows the importance of keeping alot of things squad and transfer related close to his chest.

I was one of the people that previously thought him defensive and uncooperative in interviews and this led to them being boring.

I do think he has changed this season .... And I've also realised what a complete t*t Stringer is and I don't think I could do an interview with that idiot asking the questions that he does.

Nige has definitely allowed himself to not be as annoyed by Stringer and in interviews with the TV always comes across really well.

So Sorry King Nige ..... It was Stringer's fault!!

Nigel can be difficult to interview, although less so than before, but I've found that when he's asked decent, fair, well structured questions, he gives much better answers.

He's clearly not a fan of reporters who load their questions with their own (often misguided) opinions and that clearly comes through in his answers.

Asking simple, straightforward questions generally get a better response from interviewees.

And as others have said, away from the media glare he is quite relaxed and amusing.

Exactly ..... It drives me nuts when an interviewer asks a question that takes the form of.....

"Given that x happened and you thought y, when z did that you must be feeling ...."

Ask...

"what are your thoughts on x"

No lets be honest, Stringer's questions were absolutely appalling towards the end of last season. He continuously asked if Pearson was going to be fired to Pearson. Which left week after week of i dont know, i dont know. The answer that Stringer knew he'd get. He just wants to look good to his boss. Never made for good listening though

Over a period of time, any reporter worth his salt should learn how to deal with certain individuals in interviews. Some are dead easy and you can ask them anything; some need a little more thought. If over that period of time, you still make the same schoolboy errors in interviews then maybe the job isn't for you.

Exactly, I don't blame him for being annoyed when he's asked "Bookies are paying out, they think you're up, are you?" or "This is yours to throw away now, surely?"

It's just asking for an answer that will be shown to other clubs and managers and Pearson, quite rightly, wants to avoid all that.

Having said that, in the past some answers to decent questions have been taken the wrong way and didn't show NP in the best light.

And from that we shall presume you aren't a fan of someone whose name sounds like Peon Dingler.

I think they were worth 120 million when they bought us, but now they're worth 1.6 billion and rising. Its all those leicester shirts they're flogging in thailand.

The problem is, some of our local reporters seem to "ask the questions the fans want to hear". The problem with that is that rather a large number of fans are empty headed buffoons.

I think the phrase was "underestimated their wealth", basically he owned more of the company than they thought and the company has been making a killing over the last few years.

The comments were aimed at everyone in the business, not anyone specifically, Babylon.

The questions I think most fans want to hear are about injuries, form, training ground activities, morale in the squad, not hypothetical scenarios.

I get ya, I get ya... nudge nudge, wink wink. lol

As an aside, are you a mason? You know a mate of mine and I had my suspicions he was!

We know that... you have to remember the sort of ones he interacts with via social media and the football forum!! lol

Vichai changed his surname from Raksriaksorn, when the monarchy bestowed upon him the honorific Srivaddhanaprabha, which means "light of progressive glory.

A walk in park for Nigel Pearson! Leicester boss to avoid Saturday promotion results NIGEL PEARSON is planning a day of calmness tomorrow, so relaxed he may not discover that Leicester have been promoted until long after it has actually happened.

Nigel Pearson has said he will not be watching the results on Saturda

The Foxes will become a Premier League club if they beat Sheffield Wednesday tonight and then QPR lose at Bournemouth and Derby fail to win at Middlesbrough.

But Pearson will go for a cycle ride or a walk near to his Sheffield home and may even have a quiet beer in a country pub to avoid Sky's Soccer Saturday.

"I might be cycling," said the Leicester manager. "It could be a walk or down the pub. I am not going to sit in front of the television, I can tell you that now. But hey, we have to win our game first.

"That is what it is all about, us making sure we get the performance right firstly and then get the right result, which puts more pressure on the teams around us.

Dave Nugent has scored 20 goals for Leicester this season

"What then happens in their games happens. My view doesn't change.

"Anyone who knows me knows my phone is on silent. There is no point having a ringtone on my phone. I don't use it.

"I might take it and I might not. I don't know what I will do on Saturday. I am just thinking about our game and how we are going to get the performance right to get three points."
