Buzzell Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Who do you expect us to sign? I fear that some of us might be a bit disappointed with our signings next season Personally I trust our scouting set up to find the right players for nige to sign I never said I didn't trust them
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 What makes you think our scouting set up wants Commons? If we was to sign him then fair enough, but I think there would be better players out there for us. Ravel Morrison? Adam Johnson? Depends on who goes down. I didn't say our scouting set up wants him, it's an article from a crap newspaper, one of many I fear Ravel Morrison? Could you honestly see nige signing someone with his personality?
kingfox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Interesting one, but SPL is nothing like the Premier League. He is a good player, but do we really need someone of that age, if so I would look at Jordi Gomez instead if Wigan fail to get promoted.
FoxyPalace.com Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I hope bloody not! We must do better than this guy
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Reminds me a bit of Guppy but better goalscorer.

Could you honestly see nige signing someone with his personality? Why not? Under good management Ravel could be tamed into a brilliant player. Pearson wouldn't take no crap from him so he could buck up his ideas. He's done brilliantly for QPR since moving there on loan and even before that at West Ham he was doing a damn fine job in the PL.
Jimothy Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Meh. Won't be upset if we sign him, won't be gutted if we don't.

Pearson wouldn't take no crap from him so he could buck up his ideas. He's done brilliantly for QPR since moving there on loan and even before that at West Ham he was doing a damn fine job in the PL. There is a reason that he never seems to settle anywhere That said he is a quality player, I can see him either being back in the west ham team next season or moving to a bigger club
katieakita Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Played for Forest and Derby and comes from Mansfield so an easy link if his agent is after a new contract. 31 in August so do not know where he fits in. Also thought he had issues at Forest and Derby being a big time charlie but if Nigel and the team think he will do a job who are we to argue
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Thinking about this and it seems highly unlikely to me and just another rubbish newspaper article Not a Pearson type of signing really
Maybes Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Leicester, linked with everyone and anyone. Can't see this.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Leicester, linked with everyone and anyone. Can't see this. It's going to be a nightmare
conLAD logan Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I don't see how he wouldn't be a good signing...
The Horse's Mouth Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 If he can do it against Aberdeen he can do it against Chelsea.
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Very tidy player, and all those dismissing him for playing in Scotland - don't forget, this is the scottish champions so he gets 2-8 games a season playing in the CL - and Ledley was of a similar standard & stepped up fine for Palace: there is some good football north of the border, it's not just a collection of Joe Hammills and Alan Mayburys. I'd take him. Wouldn't it make him the first player to play for Leicester, Forest and Derby? I know Billy Davies played for us and managed them, but I can't think of a player that has turned out for all three clubs...
Munshi Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Would be a good signing, seen him a few times in the Scottish league and looks Celtics best player. Anything under 3 million and a yes from me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Salieri Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Always rated Commons, would definitely like to see him here.

Was about to say the same thing. Some players have turned out to be just as decent in our top flight, including Steven Fletcher, Charlie Adam, Jelavic, Steven Naismith, Rob Snodgrass etc...
Agent Fox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I'd be happy with Chris Commons signing. He wouldn't be our star player or possibly even a starter but clearly has quality and experience.
XLM Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Awesome player - not young but he has so much experience to offer! Plus, he can ping one - and we couldn't score from a corner if Vichai's right bollock depended on it!
dog_4 Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 not quick enough! We need technically quick players to compete and stay in the premiership!
Buzzell Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I wouldn't be disappointed if we signed him tbf. He has a vast amount of experience in European football, can score a goal or two as well. That bit of experience could be vital in the PL. *But we can do better....*
suffolk fox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Hope this is lazy journalism jesus Commons if that is the best we can do nailed on to finish bottom next season. Would rather start with what we have now that includes Gtf and 40 yr old Mr Phillips
