I wonder how many times that will happen next season (IF) he's in the team. 3rd post since December comes after 2 games without a win. Welcome back

TrentFox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Formation might work given time for the players to get comfortable with it, but it would be Vardy up front. QPR so pedestrian they'll struggle to win the play offs. I don't think we've been so bad, just need to make some of our better moves count. That's where it all gets complicated with our squad and formation for me. Vardy's strength is running into space behind the defence. As a lone striker, we need him to show in front of the defence and hold the ball up and wait for support. He isn't technically or physically that kind of forward. Someone earlier said Maiga is shit (??) Right now, I'd say he'd be better in our team than any striker in our squad today in this formation.

Fortunately the line up out there today will not be anywhere near what is required in the PL however those few who harbour any desire to play in the top flight playing today would want pull their fingers out in a hurry and give us a decent 2nd half.

MC Prussian Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 We seemed to start off well, then let QPR too much into the game and allowed them too much space. A draw's probably a fair result so far, but the visitors had the better chances towards the end of the first half. The James/Drinkwater link is sorely missed, and that's something we need to look at for next season - a fourth quality central midfielder who can compensate for the temporary loss of either James or Drinkwater (or King).

sphericalfox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 We've not exactly come out of the traps this second half. Drinky and Hammond seem to be tripping over each other half the time, we should be changing the formation back to 4-4-2 sooner than later if we want the 3pts.
