ScouseFox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 I'm on 11+ corners, 3+ cards and a Leicester win. QPR being nice and dirty could play into my hands here.
Buzzell Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 QPR getting very frustrated here. Can see someone being sent.
MooseBreath Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 . Maybe he's just trying to see if anything else works so he has a potential plan b? And if it doesn't work he may just revert back to the usual 442 for next season. Yeah probably, but this isn't the first time he has tried it. We started a few games at the beginning of the season playing like this and it failed most times. It has been clear for probably 18 months that we're relatively crap playing anything other than 442 so why do we need to go there again. Poor.
lee(lcfc) Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 i would take knocky of at half time, i think the boy needs to learn how to pass
TrentFox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 There's nothing that much wrong with the formation but the players need to get comfortable with it. You also have to have a forward that can hold the ball up. Nugent can't
Haydos Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Never a red, that, yellow is fine and Mahrez had a few extra rolls for good measure.

purpleronnie Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 we have a premiership team and a premiership atmosphere to match.
Crinklyfox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 We could easily be behind to QPR. I hope NP wakes them up at half time.

eastendfox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Formation might work given time for the players to get comfortable with it, but it would be Vardy up front. QPR so pedestrian they'll struggle to win the play offs. I don't think we've been so bad, just need to make some of our better moves count.
lee(lcfc) Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Knockaert's been awful today the problem with him he thinks we can take every one on, he needs to cut it out before next season or i dont see him playing much
justfoxes Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 I don't think there will be 11 men left on the pitch for QPR the way some of their players are going in on tackles !! Not a bad half for city but a rocket from Pearson ant half Time should sort them out !!
ScouseFox Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 this formation given a few more tries could work but we may as well cash in and sell drinky now if we're going to use this because he's not even been slightly involved in that first 45. he's not a holding player and he appreciates space in the middle to work his stuff, it's over crowded and his only option is a first time pass back to wes/was and it makes him completely useless which is a travesty considering he's the best midfielder in this league.
Charl91 Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 To be fair to Nugent, his hold up play hasn't been bad today (and I'm normally a critic of his). As for Knocky, I don't mind him trying to take on his man, but he needs to learn that there's no point trying to dribble past 3 at once. Even so, least he's having a go. I think the fact that we just passed the ball around our back 4 for five minutes highlighted our ambition for today.
ibbosuk Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Knockaert's been awful today Other premiership teams will be licking there lips with the amount of unforced errors knockaert makes in a game, gang up on him nick it, quick break from midfield and its 0-1. I wonder how many times that will happen next season (IF) he's in the team.
Tielemans63 Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Without that James / Drinky partnership in the middle we look a shadow of the side we do with them .
cc_star Posted 19 April 2014 Posted 19 April 2014 Better towards the end. Hammond & Drinkwater giving QPR attacking midfielders too much space & Morgan/Wasyl not picking up their front man at all. Missed Drinkwater's passing in opposition half Got better at closing down later on, which saw us create far more chances on goal than previous. Need to keep the tempo up, tempo is key... Failing that we can bring Wood on & revert to 442 although I hope we don't have to as we really need to master 3/5 in the middle. Tempo, if we run out in second half without it - we'll lose this
