Brainy Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Promoted with Nancy, absolute trash and got sacked in Ligue 1 in February. Somehow got the Torino job who just finished 7th in Serie A, £19m to spend, somewhat of a step up
Haydos Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Anyone know if steam saves your game anywhere online? My SSD has just bricked itself and I've got a feeling the saves are stored in my docs or something which would have been on the ssd
Haydos Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 About 99% sure you're ****ed. I've got a back up from about 2 seasons ago from when I last formatted. I'm not replaying 2 seasons. I won't.
filbertway Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I've got a back up from about 2 seasons ago from when I last formatted. I'm not replaying 2 seasons. I won't. Didn't you send me a save not long ago? Not sure how much you have played since then mind haha.
Haydos Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Didn't you send me a save not long ago? Not sure how much you have played since then mind haha. New ssd should be here tomorrow, we'll have to wait and see. Too much time scouring the globe for young blood for me to go back.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Whats best tactic for defending corners?
Stadt Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Whats best tactic for defending corners? Zonal, 3 or 4 marking the 6 yard box.
Dan Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Any of you lot know how long it takes a Mexican to gain Spanish citizenship? I've not signed any but I can see myself signing players from there in future. Value to be had. I assume places like Honduras, El Salvador and maybe even USA are the same as them?
Finnegan Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Any of you lot know how long it takes a Mexican to gain Spanish citizenship? I've not signed any but I can see myself signing players from there in future. Value to be had. I assume places like Honduras, El Salvador and maybe even USA are the same as them? Two years now. Couple of versions ago it was five but it now falls in line with the test of south America. Alternatively, you can edit the database so Spain views the entire Americas as EU. Bit cheat-y but I had a fun Valencia save doing that. Obviously it applies to the whole league so you're not getting an unfair advantage over other clubs. Though it obviously makes it easier to recruit GGR, Romeo, Kranevitter, Balanta, et all right from the off.
Haydos Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Anyone found Monterrey to have a deluge of quality, undervalued players? Not sure about 15 but on my 14 save 2 of my best players have come from there for ~£5m, one now worth £45m and the other £30m.
Dan Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Is it two? Nice one. I've signed a few Argentines and being the clown I am I've gone and got four non-EU players thinking that was the limit, turns out it was three and I blame that on spending so long in France where it's four. Savitskiy won't be a Spanish national until he's 30 but he's worth it so I don't mind him. I signed Yamil Asad (which I think is Spanish for 'mediocrity personified'), Leandro Desabato and Hector Villalba. Villalba's kicked off because I've dropped him from my squad, understandable but he was the most replaceable of the three as I brought in Adama Traore on loan and he was injured. I do find it pretty ridiculous that it takes someone from Belarus 10 years but someone from Argentina 2 then again Belarus produce nothing compared to Argentina, Savitskiy's a bit of a one off.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 In terms of wanting to be well organised and solid not conceding many at back, what do people of their defenders set at for roles? I have full backs as limited defend and wingers as support and at least one centre mid in a defensive role yet i concede shit loads. Any help?
Fox92 Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Whats best tactic for defending corners? I was really struggling at defending corners, conceding constantly, but since I put a man on "zonally mark six yard box" option things have got better. He sits as the first man - like Ulloa in real life for us - and clears a lot that previously were leading to goals.
Dan Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 In terms of wanting to be well organised and solid not conceding many at back, what do people of their defenders set at for roles? I have full backs as limited defend and wingers as support and at least one centre mid in a defensive role yet i concede shit loads. Any help? I tend to find that nullifies your attacking threat a bit and as a result can put yourselves under more pressure anyway. It's alright in an obvious backs to the wall situation like Barcelona/Real Madrid away but against weaker sides I often find attack to be the best form of defence. High pressing is the way forward. Defending is down to more than just your back 3/4 as well. It's a team effort. My back four might not necessarily do as well in a 4-2-3-1 as they do in a 4-5-1 for example. I have both full backs as wing backs on support, one central defender on defend and one central defender on cover (I've always found that a decent combination, plus my covering one is quick). We do have a tendency to implode defensively but that's my own fault for attacking as soon as I've gone 2/3 behind. Going back to Real Madrid I actually lost there 1-0 playing that exact defence in a 4-5-1, we never looked out of the game and were only beaten by a scruffy, contentious goal at the end. Changing my lone forward to a false nine and changing my AMR to a raumdeuter are the two best things I've done. I've found most teams struggle to defend against it. EDIT: Also worth mentioning that I have an assistant manager with high tactical knowledge who I leave in charge of player instructions. I think that tends to help defensively.
Haydos Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 ****. Everything reinstalled. My documents and fm save was on the ssd that shat itself. I need to mourn.

Dan Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 I am absolutely 100% adamant there is a hidden motivation attribute in this game. Every player who signs a new contract turns to utter shit.
Haydos Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I am absolutely 100% adamant there is a hidden motivation attribute in this game. Every player who signs a new contract turns to utter shit. There's definitely hidden attributes in the game! You've not gone and not realised this til now surely?
DB11 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 I am absolutely 100% adamant there is a hidden motivation attribute in this game. Every player who signs a new contract turns to utter shit.
