Lcfclad2013 Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 I've always wondered about pushing the LB and RB a bit forward to wingbacks like that with 4 for at the back, always thought you'd just concede loads though You are sometimes suspect of counter attacks but the amount of goals you score balances it out. I scored over 100 goals in prem last season with that tactic and 75 goals already this season in only 18 games played, it's a monster of a tactic.
General Smuts Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 St Albans into the Championship in 6 seasons. Massive task aided by some monstrous free transfer signings that I had no right to get. Patel Savitsky and Leandro Parades in league 1 is filth getting Raul De Thomas on loan and then getting him on a free also filth. Same with Jordan Ibe - and that front 4 will and have out scored every other team. Ever. St Albans into Europe in 2022!!!

What team instructions? I don't like downloading tactics but making one similar I suppose isn't as bad

Under scouting, all known players, then filter under conditions for transfer status You will only know who's available by how good your scouting is

Don't think my team is great enough! one last thing, what mentality and team shape do you play Not necessarily, i've built this team over quite a few years. You just need certain types of players that kinda fit the formation. It's attacking and very fluid. My girlfriend with Leicester dosen't have as good of a side as me and she's 2nd in prem after switching to this formation(she was finishing midtable-7th highest). I've used the formation with St.Albans in conference was predicted to come 2nd from bottom and I ended up winning the league.

That was the biggest change for me to overcome! The staff search screen is as it always was but with players you must utilise your scouts really, unless you know the player you want and can search their name direct. More like real life I guess
Buzzell Posted 20 February 2015 Posted 20 February 2015 What formation do people recommended to use when being Leicester? I'm currently using the 4-3-2-1 formation with a DM. Only played three games so far. Lost to both Chelsea and Newcastle and managed a draw at Burnley.

Its not an exact science, but i dont tend to be as harsh on them away from home, or if they were on the wrong end of a decision or two. What you say and the tone of voice go hand in hand I think. If its half time and youre underperforming, be assertive with them. Tell them you expect to see more from them. If its a big game, be calm with them, theyll gain focus and not look stressed (in red). If theyve had a great win, Passionately congratulate them. Also if one of your bigger players isnt performing, maybe give him an individual talk, tell him "he can make the difference", give him a boost. There are probably people more qualified than me to answer this.
LEF Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 I've found this version of FM quite boring. I can't stand the new UI as it's confusing and the skin is too dark. I've had success in my first season by finishing 3rd but I have struggled in the second season, which is something I've always had a problem with. I like to play a 442 with a high line and lots of pressing...has anyone been able to make a successful counter-attacking tactic using the actual counter mentality? I've tried but failed miserbaly.

I'd just love to get it working somehow because it's there so it obviously can be done. I only seem to do well with control and attacking mentalities and I would like to do something different.

My tactics were still "Attacking" (they have been in every version since 2006) but I used the Counter Attack tick, played quite fast, fairly direct and scored some absolutely brilliant end-to-end goals. Especially around 09-12 using an asymmetric system and a free-scoring AMR. I've found this version a bit odd, though, tactically. It's felt like the most-changed for some time. I never used to dominate possession at all but I'm always at about 65% now.
