Confused.com The trophy you get for winning the Championship is the old First Division trophy. The trophy you get for winning League One isn't the old Second Division trophy, in fact they don't even use the one we won in 2009 anymore as it was designed to look like a Coca-Cola bottle.

Number 6 Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 To be honest it's a much nicer trophy than the Premier League one imo. Classier. Probably soon be a golden figure of a punter crying if the league continues with the same sponsors though.

Its said in the museum that it was awarded to the winners of the First Division until 1992 (due introduction of the Premier League). Wiki states: "The winners of the Championship receive the Football League Championship trophy, the same trophy as the old First Division champions were handed prior to the Premier League's inception in 1992"

The Premiership trophy is vulgar and tasteless whose sole design brief must have been "make it look big, because big is good, right"
