And don't forget those blue tinted specs too.
ScouseFox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 And don't forget those blue tinted specs too. blue tinted specs? so are you saying me being biased made me think it hit him right in the head? even though it clearly did? BIN
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 And don't forget those blue tinted specs too. It hit his head so clearly his blue tinted specs are working better than yours.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Sorry Simpsons is handball I have no bloody idea what the rule is now. Well, I do, it's "deliberate" handball and there's no way that Simpson, pulling his hand towards his body and 2 yards away from Coutinho, has meant to handle that. BUT it obviously strikes his hand. And it did stop the ball getting through to a Liverpool player so it seems unfair that Liverpool should be punished for it. As I said in the match thread and as Pearson said afterwards - you've seen them given, you've seen them not given, which just tells you how stupid the interpretation of the rules is at the moment.
PAULCFC Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Not quite as good as Frank but a decent servant for Liverpool. Lets hope he moves somewhere where he can win a league title. Was better than Frank a few years ago,but gone down hill this past couple of seasons.I'll allways respect him because he was a one club man.....his home town.
Guest Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 The first one wasn't a penalty, but at full speed you could see why he gave it. Really? Cos at full speed from where I was stood (further away than the ref) I could see it bounce off his head. Nonsense.
The Doctor Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Lot of injuries for Burnley - typical soft lancashites
ScouseFox Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Really? Cos at full speed from where I was stood (further away than the ref) I could see it bounce off his head. Nonsense. you should take your blue tinted specs off pal
Guest ttfn Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Gifted an own goal out of nothing after Sunday's offside goal. We need to kidnap whichever leprechaun they've got up there.
KFS Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Lot of injuries for Burnley - typical soft lancashites Serves them right for not having any flair African players like we do
The Doctor Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Camera angle on motd it clearly strikes his face, even at full speed. Clarets just being a tool. Serves them right for not having any flair African players like we do But they do have the gypsie pele in boyd.

The FA rule I've had explained to me when playing Saturday football is if your arm is in a unnatural position it's handball. And those rules obviously go all the way up from my level to the Prem. If that's the case then for me it's hand ball as the arm is a long way away from the body. The problem you have is certain refs apply their own interpretation. There is little simpson can do but at the end of the day there is a reason players jockey with both arms behind their back in that situation and that is to avoid giving away the kind of pen he did today.
Guest ttfn Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Newcastle's keeper is awful. You want kids like that to shine in their chance in the limelight and he's been absolutely dire for them.
Fox92 Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 Amazed at Pearsons restraint. Probably because of his current fine/ban. Wish he'd had gone all out and rightly criticised Jones.

The highly frustrating thing is that he gave such a debatable 2nd after he gave the first. I wouldn't like to see his assessors report! They were quite unanimous on motd neither were a penalty. Very frustrating.
BlackburnClaret Posted 1 January 2015 Posted 1 January 2015 So, do as I say, not as I do? No, but to call for a binning just for offering an opinion that differs is a bit toys out of the pram. I didn't say it wasn't a penalty, just merely said I could see why, at full speed, it was given. For the record, the second one didn't look a pen to me at any speed.
