Remember when people said technology was a bad idea because football thrives on controversy eh? Ridiculous. It's absolutely boring. The standard of officiating hit an all-time low yesterday. It was borderline on worth looking into. Downright dodgy.

You used to get one or two talking points a day on MOTD, now it's two or three a game. Pathetic really!

Third. Allardyce.

Ah yeah

Just watched MOTD.

Mike Jones' decision is laughable and will continue to be for ages.

The officials in the QPR/Swansea game got 2 decisions seriously wrong. Routledge shouldn't have seen red and it was a booking at most for he and the dirty cvnt that is Karl Henry. And I'm staggered that the lino hasn't seen Rob Green handle it outside the box. It's not even close.

That's a 3 point swing in the battle for relegation purely as a result of incompetent officiating.

How Simpsons is a pen and vertonghens isn't is incredible. Also Dyche has really impressed me this season, concentrates on his own team and has created a team that is everything I wished we would be this season. If only he could sort out his voice...

Also forgot to mention the Hull/Everton game where Kevin Friend was the ref.

Alcaraz's 2nd yellow is a joke and I can't believe he's not given Hull a penalty despite seeing the foul and giving a free-kick to Hull outside the box instead lol

That's the worst 'Hide Yuki Abe' attempt I've ever seen.

I Like Georgy Boyd he was a perfect signing for a side like yourself. Shrewd bit of business. You can't really argue with 4 goals form midfield halfway through the season.

I do admire your persistence with 4-4-2 despite having what a lot of people would say is the worst squad in the league. I still think you'll go down like, but your having a good go at least.

have to applaud burnley, they play direct and nice football a lot like ourselves. would be a shame for the premier league if burnley and leicester went down and terrible teams such as qpr, palace, west brom, villa and sunderland stayed up

Thats what doesnt click or sink in with Sep Blatter and others of his ilk.The individual supporter, and the supporters around the world are different they have matured, developed, evolved and the younger ones rightly expect more, especially with our new world of high-tech. No longer 40-60 secs wasted, eithin 6 seconds descisions can be reversed or confirmed.

At the moment 1-2 minutes are wasted while players are arguing with the referee.

It would also prevent short term and long term agitation and resentment, from players and supporters alike. The ref would regain his base authority and respect, gaining self belief and confidence, losing his too arrogance tag.

Its a win win, situation

Sep Blatter Fifa, Euefa, are giving us new world grandads a bad name, We normal winklies, support the change of youth, and their dynamicity, the advancement in technology is theirs to improve use, support and help us in all walks of life.

Proffesional and playtime...FIFA..get a grip. Come on you young uns shout out for your young world and new found developing skills, should be taken seriously and put into use....Now... and give SB and his cronies a kick over the stands.

people don't mind controversial decisions and there will always be controversial decisions. take simpson's handball yesterday as a most recent example. technology isn't solving that because we're 24 hours on, we're biased and we've seen 500 replays and there's still debate on here if it was/wasn't. that's the type of "controversy" that is enjoyed for want of a better word, by fans and pundits. the decisions yesterday were just wrong. there was nothing controversial about them, they were all in all just 100,000,000% wrong. that's where technology would help.

A fella by me had his earpiece radio in yesterday, and i and a lot of others were 99% sure it had hit morgan in the face. within about 20 seconds (before the penalty had been taken) he'd told us all we were right because someone on whatever channel he was tuned into had seen a number of replays. the ball was still on the spot in the time it would've taken for one of these replays to be shown to an official to prove it was a completely farcical decision. But never mind, don't think it'll happen for a number of years.

The problem you've got is any officiating reviews would have to be done via an appeal system of some sort and if something like Danny Simpsons decision gets reviewed it could take ages, you could literally debate whether that decision should or should of not been given for 30 minutes. It is impossible to only review the "obvious"

yeah i know, that's why it'll never happen and that's why "controversy" will always exist, because there are genuinely debatable decisions in games. in was just saying that 90% of the decisions talked about in here yesterday weren't "controversial" or "debatable" they were just plain wrong.

i'm not sure how it could work but like nige said there does need to be a way to try and make it work, because things like morgan's penalty, rob green's handball, boyd's offside goal on boxing day etc etc are all just clearly wrong decisions that shouldn't even be given in the first place, but if an official is to make a mistake a ten second pause, a replay, a correction and everyone carries on is surely better than teams losing/drawing games wrongly.

That's an old picture.

Oh I know, I didn't post it as if it was anything new, just bringing up the past and the uproar around that time.

.

Wouldn't be surprised however if there were some younger fans who did actually do that though having heard the news today.

Just been looking at the fixtures, why haven't we got a game on the weekend of the 24th Jan?

Perhaps i'm overlooking something obvious, but i've looked if England are playing, e.t.c, and can't work it out.
