iamafox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 I really don't understand how Wigan are struggling so badly, they have a good manager and a decent enough squad and I expected them to push on from last season.

Their start to the season was really strange but we've seen many teams lose in the play offs the season before and not recover.
iamafox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Their start to the season was really strange but we've seen many teams lose in the play offs the season before and not recover. But by their own standards they have had a disastrous season, nobody can deny that.
ScouseFox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 didn't birmingham do pretty much the same thing (relegation with a cup, late play off push after going down then suddenly and mysteriously becoming huge relegation candidates) but then save themselves. wigan look long gone. might even finish below blackpool ffs.
Dan Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 I can't get my head around Wigan. Done a Wolves big time here. If anything it's even more ridiculous.

I grew up in a time when teams like Wigan and Blackpool were regulars in the third or fourth tier of English football. I won't shed a tear when they're back on the level they've played at for most part of their history. However, I do feel sorry for their fans.

Yes. And lost a lot of good/key players in the process. Mutch only went for £1million didn't he? Redmond went for £2million and they lost Butland (and Gardner?) too. Chris Hughton even moved on to Norwich after Lambert went to Villa. I grew up in a time when teams like Wigan and Blackpool were regulars in the third or fourth tier of English football. Winning promotion to the second tier before leaving to go to Leeds. It was set up well for the following manager imo, who eventually was Holloway. We know what happened. Mind you, Charlie Adam was instrumental in their season didn't he end up with 15+ goals from midfield?
CosbehFox Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 I really don't understand how Wigan are struggling so badly, they have a good manager and a decent enough squad and I expected them to push on from last season. Can't score goals.
Ross-Kemp Posted 12 February 2015 Posted 12 February 2015 Can't score goals.They've got Waghorn though.
kingcarr21 Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Assombalonga is ruled out for a year after knee surgery. Massive blow to Forest. Shame for the player he looks a decent prospect. gotta laugh at forest though hahaha
ADK Posted 13 February 2015 Posted 13 February 2015 Shame they probably won't be relegated, if they had kept Pearce he would have done probably.
Dan Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 I do feel for him as that's a nasty sounding injury, his career could be under serious threat from that. No sympathy for Forest though. Karma for not even paying for him.
Fox92 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Blackpool 1 Forest 0 2-0 now. First time Blackpool have scored two goals in a home game in 29 games.
marko Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Forest 2-0 down. First time Blackpool have scored more than once in a game at home in 29 games
Northants Fox 3 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Forest 2-0 down. First time Blackpool have scored more than once in a game at home in 29 games 2-1 now
ealingfox Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 Normal service resumes for Forest and Doggo Freedman then. Shame he managed to give them even that little bounce though as those 6 points will probably keep them up. EDIT: ffs. Blackpool are a joke.
Fox92 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 3-2 Blackpool now. Looks like an exciting game.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 3-2 Blackpool now. Looks like an exciting game. 3-3
MC Prussian Posted 14 February 2015 Posted 14 February 2015 3-2 Blackpool now. Looks like an exciting game. Nothing like Bolton - Watford. The Hornets led 1-0, then were 2-1 down, took the lead once more with 3-2, Bolton equalize, Deeney with the winner in the 90th.
