According to reports in Algeria Halliche is about to sign for us

Now this is one signing I think that would sure up our defence. Very impressed at the World Cup with his contributions. :)

I've posted stuff on here about Mahrez before its been leaked and it was correct. I work with two Algerian lads. They told me this morning that he's close to signing.

Read the report re Espanyol and it looks a bit like one of our 'Clubcall' sites - could be wrong though...

So, if Ashley was right about Riyad and knows someone who might know something, then, let's hope it comes to fruition.

Considering he did nothing at Fulham, I seriously don't know why we would go for him.

Do you just say these things to provoke a reaction or do you actually believe them? There's loads of our team who didn't really tear it up for other clubs but here they are with a Championship title to their name.

He just does it for attention.

Well said, Charlie. :thumbup::D

Halliche played one Premier League game.

He did alright for Algeria at the World Cup, but that's the World Cup.

Look at his record at clubs, nothing really stands out.

Can do better tbh.

But Castaignos only played 6 times for inter but he's good enough, right?

So what if he played six times for Inter. They took a chance on him, in the end it probably wasn't the right time for him, gone back to Holland, and has started to show his potential again, hence suitors like Swansea.

Forlan didn't pull up any trees at United, doesn't mean he can't cut it elsewhere.

I think we can do better than Halliche, and on my World Cup comment, performing well at the World Cup doesn't mean, you can do just as good on the club stage.

I just found it a bit hypocritical that one player isn't good enough because he didn't play at one club but one of your 'scouted players' is.

Well Inter are on a different playing field to Fulham aren't they.

Plus he had to get in ahead of Forlan, Pazzini & Milito.

Moving back to Holland has proved to be the right move, Swansea obviously think he is capable or they wouldn't of put a bid in for him.

Bet you haven't looked up on the guy, and I don't mean watching a youtube vid.

Yeah they are but you can't dismiss a player because they've only played one game whilst defending another for not getting a chance.

It doesn't matter what Swansea think or do though because we're not Swansea, they signed Marvin Emnes so I guess we should have.

His goalscoring record is decent but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll cut the mustard here.

Have you watched him play?

But Halliche's record at other clubs isn't the most promising. I think we can & should be looking at doing better.

Yes we are not Swansea, but those are the types of Premier League teams, we should be trying to emulate whether it will be this season, or if we remain in the Premier League, then definitely next season, like Swansea & Southampton have done in the past.

Slimani goalscoring record was decent at the end of last season so was Wickham's, Ulloa goalscoring record was decent last season doesn't necessarily mean they will be good either.

I've seen bits of Castiagnos yes, and he's a tall athletic striker, who has good strength & good pace. He's rated pretty well, doing well for the Holland Under 21's and if he carries on progressing, then there's been talk of him maybe making the Holland squad sooner rather than later, they took him on a pre training World Cup camp, along with many other young Dutch players, to see if they were worth taking to the World Cup, most defenders made the cut, but out of strikers, only Memphis Depay was chosen. However that doesn't mean the likes of Castiagnos won't get a chance in upcoming friendly matches as well many of the other players, who didn't make it like Vilhena & Locadia two players I've mentioned before.

Sounds like Castaignos is too good for us anyway at the minute

All that debating, and you finish by saying that lol:appl:
