MozeyCo Posted 5 August 2014 Author Posted 5 August 2014 I understand what you are all saying, but the context of the question was not about him starting this year. I hate to say its obvious, but it is.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 I understand what you are all saying, but the context of the question was not about him starting this year. I hate to say its obvious, but it is. Well he's 21, 22 this season, when exactly is he going to dramatically improve? If he wasn't Pearsons son he wouldn't be here, that simple.

Not true, you don't know how good a footballer he is, no offence but I trust real footballing opinion rather then yours. You don't get paid too make footballing decision like our coaching saff though. If he was really gash, I doubt Nige would have any influence on him staying here. I think the youth coaches wouldn't keep him on just because he's Nige's son.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 players hit prime at almost 30. Also, if we really cared about family so much we might have bought matty james' brother. Well no....... because Matty James's dad isn't our manager..... More like late 20's I'd say, but we aren't talking about prime are we we are talking about competency. If he's not viewed as being competent enough to even by back up at 22 that a bit of a issue don't you think? It's a decent strike let's leave it at that it's the worst kept secret at the club that James Pearson struggles to keep up with the rest of the squad ability wise. Hugo Sanchez Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 Rabble rabble Fortuantley I don't care what you think Ash, have you donated that £20 to Foxestalk yet? Yes.

Drinkwater joined at the same age, don't you think he's improved since? Vardy as well? I'm not saying Pearson will get any better but there is time for him to improve.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 Receipt? Gave it Mark personally, seeing as we our friends
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 Drinkwater joined at the same age, don't you think he's improved since? Vardy as well? I'm not saying Pearson will get any better but there is time for him to improve. Ah the old Foxestalk mentality of it I can find one example that goes against what he's saying that surely that disproves his theory Ignoring the fact that DD was already an established Championship player on arrival at Leicester and Vardy is 27 and was clearly below himself at FG as the goals he scored showed, being able to find one play who improved from 21 - 29 will not prove anything, as Pearson doesn't just have to improve, he has to drastically improve, and he's nearly 22, with 3 league appearances to his name. For me, not going to happen. I heavily doubt we'd be persisting with him if Nigel wasn't his Dad.

James will be pottering around in there until he's 40.

I haven't seen Pearson play so I don't know how much improvement he needs, if it is as much as you say I doubt he'll play competitively for us this or maybe next season, as Pearson Sr has also mentioned. I do think that players can continue to improve regardless of age, in a general sense. He will probably end up as a lower league player.

sylofox Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 I doubt nige has a lot of say with him. He is not stupid he could ruin everything by favouring his son. Leg up yes any more no way.
Xen Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 If he ever does get into the first team and we dont sing 'Oh Daddy's boy' to the tune of 'Danny Boy', then I will be very disappointed.
Sir Fynwy Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 I think Pearson Junior is one of the few professional players who has completed higher education and because of this hasn't been all about football through his teens, this has put him at a serious disadvantage to the players who have spent the whole of their teens as academy players. I personally don't expect that he'll be able to catch up the missed time and become a top level player but let's see how he develops.
PAPA LAZAROU Posted 5 August 2014 Posted 5 August 2014 Do you think he knows Wood shagg*d his sister?
RedSoxUK Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 Signed for Peterborough on loan. It'll be interesting to see how this develops, heard he was doing quite well captaining the U21s as of late.
Matt Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I doubt nige has a lot of say with him. He is not stupid he could ruin everything by favouring his son. Leg up yes any more no way. He'll be one of the favourites before we know it! That is a tongue in cheek comment by the way, just incase people don't understand my sarcasm, i'm often misunderstood. That said he's ruined this season by favouring certain individuals, I still stand by the fact he does have favourites - as it's the only explanation as to how and why certain players are still in the team every week.
Unabomber Posted 26 March 2015 Posted 26 March 2015 I still stand by the fact he does have favourites And don't we all know it.
