Lamby Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Am off to Cambridge v Oxford today, new ground and all that.
Leicesterpool Posted 11 October 2014 Posted 11 October 2014 Cracking game tbh Yeah it certainly was 5-1 to Cambridge I see, bet the atmosphere was good. Crewe managed to beat the covscum, have to say after watching that display I can see Cov struggling this season. First half Cov barely created any chances plus gave away two soft goals. Second half Cov got one back which was an O.G from a crewe centre back, cov did have the opportunity to get back into it but they missed a sitter which was the only really dangerous chance they had in the second half. On crewe a nice friendly welcoming club but footballing wise despite today's win I think they may still struggle, an decent league one side would have thrashed cov today, cov were that poor. Of course I don't quite think Cov will go down I think there home form will keep them up.
Durnerz Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Went to Northampton vs Burton yesterday in the away end, top day out and make sure to check out the winning goal, insane strike. Also our loanee Jacob Blyth got on the scoresheet, a good day indeed.
Corky Posted 21 October 2014 Author Posted 21 October 2014 Notts County on their way up? Fifth at the moment, three points from 2nd. Not bad for a side who survived on the final day in May.
Corky Posted 22 October 2014 Author Posted 22 October 2014 Nige isn't the only manager to criticise a club recently: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29721983
Corky Posted 13 November 2014 Author Posted 13 November 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30003191 Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink new manager of Burton Albion. Former player David Oldfield to assist. Interesting choice, certainly a player whose career will make League 2 players take notice of him.

Burton do like to gamble with there managers, however good luck to them a club with a lot of potential.

Soar Fox Posted 14 November 2014 Posted 14 November 2014 Some great pubs in Sheffield. The one next to the train station does some really good ales.
bovril Posted 14 November 2014 Posted 14 November 2014 The one next to the train station does some really good ales. Yep. I remember watching Spurs 4-4 Leicester in there. I spent most of my student days at the Royal Standard five minutes from the stadium.
Soar Fox Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 Roy Carroll played for Northen Ireland in Romania last night, then flew back and played for Notts County today.
Unabomber Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 Roy Carroll played for Northen Ireland in Romania last night, then flew back and played for Notts County today. Dem gambling debts aren't gonna pay themselves.
bovril Posted 17 November 2014 Posted 17 November 2014 Roy Carroll played for Northen Ireland in Romania last night, then flew back and played for Notts County today. I could play in goal and keep a clean sheet against Cov asleep on the goal line after a drink, drugs and hooker bender the night before.
Soar Fox Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Preston V Walsall on sky now. Few leicester connections, Beckford and Gallagher both start for Preston. Michael Cain starts for Walsall.
Soar Fox Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Is that James Chambers too? Forgot about him. Bloody Martin Allen
Unabomber Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Beckford should have scored there. Ah now there's a phrase I certainly haven't missed!
