Carlos88LCFC Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I heard someone talking about the Hilton hotel
Ricey Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 If we want him to play before Christmas he must be registered before the window shuts. I thought free transfers could be registered outside of windows if there is space in the squad. Could be wrong.
Haydos Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I thought free transfers could be registered outside of windows if there is space in the squad. Could be wrong. I was thinking this. Good old football manager. Still not sure though.
BlueKnob Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 So it seems like the end is in sight for the most protracted transfer in LCFC and British football history... With what the journos have said (although they've been saying it's done at regular intervals over the last 2 weeks), Bert's quip about the new signing klaxon is very interesting indeed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I think we might be running you close with our supposed transfer of David Henen, we've had photos of him in the back of local taxis and all sorts, but that's still not done. After the Lukaku rumours started to gather pace we even had people on our forum tracking flights in and out of various countries and posting screenshots of where he was at any given time, if I'm honest I started to worry for the mental health of some people.
foxes4e4 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 smile folks it will sort itself for the best #up the foxes

What's holding that one up? The fee isn't it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah I think so mate, haggling over the add ons as far as I understand. The lads been training with us for about a month so you'd imagine that'll be completed, I assume he's already passed the notorious Everton medical.
Robin JD Popley Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 At least he's only had the one medical mate, Esteban's apparently had 150 for us. In all seriousness, though, makes you wonder why some deals like Balotelli get resolved in 72 hours and others (barring the known hold ups) can take up to three to four weeks once a deal has been principally agreed. Still, as long as they both resolve themselves, both of our clubs will be happy.

Does he have any kids like I'm assuming Cambiasso does? 3) Liverpool matched his current wages 4) Liverpool are playing Champions League football 5) Liverpool are a much bigger club 6) He wanted to go there 7) Liverpool were seemingly the only club in for him
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I know responsibly run clubs like LCFC and Everton don't want to be held to ransom, but haggling over £1.5m and a few add ons does seem a bit odd - particularly if he's been training with you for a month or so. We'll never know what is holding up/killing the Cambiasso deal. A lot on here seem to think he has been holding out for other offers. Which could also be financially related! Mass hysteria is the name of the game.

Fox Ulike Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 It is becoming increasingly likely that Cambiasso is just playing us like a piano. I think he’s probably just waiting for a better offer to come along, probably from a London club, and having us as his 'back-up'. So he can ‘do one’ the bald fvckin dwarf. We’ve got Dean Hammond.
Robin JD Popley Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I suppose the list you provided is right Haydos. I'm not worried yet, though, if he said the end of the week - he may even be signing as we speak for all we know (doubt it, but you never know) but I think the big defining factor in all of this is his family.

So how do you jump to any of those conclusions when there has been absolutely nothing published with a decent source or quote to suggest that a) he wants more money and b) he wants to be in london?

There's been absolutely nothing published with a decent source, Full Stop. This hasn't stopped 765 other posts from people punting their unvalidated opinions. But you pick on ME! I got hurt feelings right now. He hasn't said he wants to play for Leicester. Pearson doesn't even appear to have met him. So it all seems to be going well?
Monsell1976 Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 I think the club has to move on now, even Pearson is saying we need to add to the squad, and I think we need players in sooner rather than later. Looking from the outside, this is turning into a saga, for reasons I don't know, lots of rumours, but I cannot say for sure because I don't know but it's starting to look like we are struggling to convince him. Time for a take it or leave it offer, and move on.

Sounds like you are trying to say FT is not a reliable soruce
blueonyou Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Do people seriously think Nigel or the club are being bent over a barrel? really? think about it. There's no way anyone in the club will let someone "take the piss" as so many people keep claiming. There's a whole lot of complications behind this deal which no one has an effin clue about, we wouldn't be persevering with it for no reason or if there was little desire for him to play for our club. So for people (many) to say "I think we/the club needs to move on now". Er right. OK.
