Reading between the lines in Nige's post match chelsea interview that there IS money available but it IS him that is saying no to wages and high transfer fees. Love the man to bits for what he has achieved but this is the premiership where money and only money talks.

If that window shuts and we have the same squad we will need to do something very special this season to stay in this league. Now what i do think is that Pearson's principles could be his achilles heel.

st albans fox Posted 26 August 2014 Posted 26 August 2014 Reading between the lines, I think we have told EC that we want him to sign bit if he cannot sort out his 'outside interests' by the end of Thursday then it's off from our end. It could be that this timescale is end Wednesday. I don't think we will announce that we have pulled the plug. I think they will state that they have come away from the deal first once they know that they can't sort their end out.

There is little doubt that our recruiting methods are still very championship style and it's cost us dearly.

All because we are having to shop in the latter stages of the window doesn't mean we have no targets, its not like NP I know but after the interview last night you can tell that other teams are taking the piss with valuations. I believe in the man that assembled a squad far to good for the championship and I believe in him now, he will get the required players and have this sorted very soon.

Haydos Posted 27 August 2014 Posted 27 August 2014 Before they brought Mahrez in they had 6 potential targets that he was narrowed down from. Assuming this wasn't a one off and even if you half that amount it means we have 3 targets for each position. It's not as if the only central midfielders we've got on our radar are Cambiasso and McArthur.

On Radio Leicester 2 days ago, Ian Stringer said that he still believes he will sign for City & also McArthur will sign too. Big Nige will sort things out & before the window closes, I believe he will have 3 or even 4 new players signed for the football club. He has openly stated that he is looking for a striker, a midfielder & a defender. City 2 - 1 Arsenal our first 3 pointer imo. Vardy back in starting 11 & he's off the mark with his first Prem.goal!

Is there not a deadline to register the 25 man squad in the prem? Surely outside of that free transfer or not they can't be added until the next window opens.
