Babylon Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 http://www.westerngazette.co.uk/Premier-League-transfer-news-Manchester-United/story-22858424-detail/story.html Think I mentioned this one before in the twitter thread, a few United fans seemed to think this was happening a month or so ago.
benpicko Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Is this our plan all along? Get to the Premier League, stealing Man United's most promising young talent along the way, and then kick them out when we get there Though 2 in 19 for Yeovil last year's hardly prolific

Babylon Posted 1 September 2014 Author Posted 1 September 2014 Perhaps another one for the development squad.
lcfcsnow Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 He looked decent for Yeovil in the championship, no point coming here to play in our development squad as it would be a step down, he'll be doing that at man utd already.
STUHILL Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 SSN just confirmed we are interested in signing him on permanent as well as Powell on loan Ended interest in Mcgoldrick though...
foxfanazer Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 SSN just confirmed we are interested in signing him on permanent as well as Powell on loan Ended interest in Mcgoldrick though... Got a very good track record of signing United youngsters so would be happy with both
ADK Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 We do need to sign some youth so would be happy with this.
lcfcsnow Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Tom Lawrence Some posts here suggest Lawrence is a better prospect than Powell
Moochy Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Rob Tanner @RobTannerMerc 1m If City sign Lawrence it would be with the future in mind, not for immediate first team. Striker search goes on.
Kitchandro Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 As Tanner says I doubt he'll be the answer to the current striker question
Finnegan Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 As Tanner says I doubt he'll be the answer to the current striker question I'm not convinced there is a current striker question. He'd provide cover for the forwards and out wide and wouldn't be expected to start in either position. I don't think we need vast improvements on our first choice eleven at all except left back. Ulloa and Vardy are going to smash this league.
conLAD logan Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Lawrence is a winger/striker which means he'll give us the cover and competition needed for left misfield and any sort of back up we need up front or even in the "hole". Some rate him better than Powell but that's yet to be really seen! I'd take him definitely
Narborough_fox Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Didn't he play on the wing when Yeovil came to our place? Would be delighted with this signing, would add some depth on the wings and up front.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Didn't he play on the wing when Yeovil came to our place? Would be delighted with this signing, would add some depth on the wings and up front. Yeah did play against us and I thought he was impressive
Danno Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Didn't he play on the wing when Yeovil came to our place? Would be delighted with this signing, would add some depth on the wings and up front.Yeah he looked very quick too, good Dyer replacement

What I mean is, just because he brings this guy in, doesn't mean he won't bring another striker in as well.
Eddie Big Balls Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 He's a winger/wide forward, definitely not a left or right mid although he could probably do a job there. Good pace although not truly rapid, strong dribbler and excellent counterattacker. I think he'd be a very interesting signing for you, especially if you're looking at more of a 4-2-3-1 than a straight 4-5-1 or 4-4-2. Very talented player but probably more suited to a lower club than United, although I do think he's plenty good enough to play in the premier league for the next 10 years.

Roy M Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 20:19 More from Leicester and Sky Sports understands the Foxes have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated Manchester United forward Tom Lawrence. Lawrence is due to arrive at the club's training ground for talks later this evening.
Devonfox1884 Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 Doubt he is for the dev. Squad, more like back-up for the 1st team.
Finnegan Posted 1 September 2014 Posted 1 September 2014 I doubt he'd leave united just to join our development squad. I'm not saying he'll start but you'd imagine he'll be in and around the senior team? Or off on loan to a championship club?
