Rather than people transferring their money to 'Pot Holder' wouldn't it make more sense for everyone who is up for getting involved to stake the bet themselves and then they can stop, change their stake, increase their stake if they want at any time without any complications.

Have the same format in place, with everyone voting and agreeing on the same bet and a certain % of pot to place.

It might be simpler that way Just a thought....

Okay. The explanation.

Each member will send the POT HOLDER £20.00.

Members will post what bets they think are good for the coming week/weekend(let's not go muggy and get carried away wanting to bet every day).

Bets will be voted upon by members, stake ammount to be voted on too.

Withdrawing/paying out:

People can ask to withdraw at any time, withdrawal fund will be split by 'x' members to get 'x payout'. My family syndicate is currently on £214 this roughly equates to £51 profit each plus the original £20 we started on so currently we each hold £71.

As for signing up to new accounts I have a William Hill, Bet365, PaddyPower & Betfair. If people see good sign up offers and are willing to open an account for the syndicate monies will be transfered from POT HOLDER if agreed upon.. should bet be won monies transfered back.

Unfortunately, i cannot be the "pot holder" as i have accounts with basically every bookmaker and have exhausted the potential to receive free offers.

 

Are we aiming for around the end of the month to be up and running? Perhaps we could trial a "dummy run" betting week to iron out the kinks and see how the voting process goes and the supporting evidence for bets people produce?

My weekend thoughts, these are just theoretical no money on the line yet.

 

Man Utd v QPR (1/4) History is on Man Utd's side having been unbeaten in their last 10 meetings with QPR, winning 9 and drawing 1. They have also won their last 5 fixtures v QPR at Old Trafford for what its worth. QPR have yet to pick up an away result, in the league or capital one cup, and conceded 4 goals last time away from home vs Tottenham Hotspur. Man Utd are also boosted by the additions of Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao available for selection. Having not won yet this season, Man Utd will also be looking to hit form and make up ground on the top 4 positions.

 

Bayen Munich v Stuttgart (1/6) History is on Bayern Munich's side having been unbeaten in their previous 13 meetings with Stuttgart, and having won their last 9 meetings. Bayern Munich have been traditionally strong at home, having only lost one home game last season to Borussia Dortmund. Bayern are boosted by the addition.s to the squad or Robert Lewandowski and Xabi Alonso, and have Franck Ribery back to fitness for the Stuttgart game. Stuttgart are still looking for their first win of the season, and have only managed one goal so far in the Bundesliga.

Personally, I agree with someone (Donut I think) that we should try a trial run with a fictional amount. There are several posters including myself uncertain about investing and I would like to see a trial run before committing. It is not a question of a trust issue for me as several posters on here know you personally but the structure and how it works.

doesn't make sense to transfer money to one person to put the bet on, as it can get messy, confusing and complicated. so i'll just wait to see the selection and if i'm going to bet use which ever bookmaker is offeringthe best odds.
