Chug Laguna Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 You don't win the caring grandson award. He was happy to just be nominated
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I love Lineker. One of those blokes who has to be seen as 'neutral' ( as a pundit), whilst at the same time making it clear that he actually isn't and loves the club. Magic.
Guest Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Wow BBC grow up! He's a huge leicester fan! We were all swearing too! Have a look at Sir Fynwy's post a couple above yours
VLC86 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 You don't win the caring grandson award. But it must make me cool though?
Sir Shep Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 He gave his plastic supporting son George some grief which of cause is totally allowed as no one born to a leicester legend should ever, ever support anyone other than leicester.
Fox92 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I don't think they get the irony of the "sh*t on United" comment.
Larry_LCFC Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Gary Lineker @GaryLineker 30m Anyway enough of that! I'm done swearing until Leicester beat Manchester...****ing...City. lol
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Gary Lineker @GaryLineker 30m Anyway enough of that! I'm done swearing until Leicester beat Manchester...****ing...City. lol quality
Illusion35 Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 So funny I recommend reading his twitter from today, just made me really chuckle
David Lowe Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I thought this was going to be about Gary McAllister.
Rincewind Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I'll have a look. Most of his tweets have a little humour in them. Why does his language suddenly matter? I do not remember any previous swearing but then I would have taken little notice. Could it be because the remarks were aimed at Man Utd and not a team like Charlton or Rotherham.?
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Why is it not "Sir" Gary Lineker yet? Beats me? They should do a dual knighthood..Sir Gary and Sir Emile at the same time..arise you faithful servants of Leicester..
Larry_LCFC Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 Beats me? They should do a dual knighthood..Sir Gary and Sir Emile at the same time..arise you faithful servants of Leicester.. Why do things by half. Just make Gary King. Then we can have a National Leicester Day every time we win (bank holiday) and a National Leicester Mourning Day every time we lose (also a bank holiday). Its a win win situation. I cant understand why its not already happened. Plus his mrs will make a really fit queen.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 22 September 2014 Posted 22 September 2014 I bet the journalist in question feels like a right numpty now, and rightly so
Sir Fynwy Posted 23 September 2014 Posted 23 September 2014 Seems the Torygraph won't leave this alone, still banging on about something that Gary has confirmed didn't happen and Ben Rumby initially apologised for, making up spurious sources at the BBC bet it was a cleaner.
Jon the Hat Posted 23 September 2014 Posted 23 September 2014 Seems the Torygraph won't leave this alone, still banging on about something that Gary has confirmed didn't happen and Ben Rumby initially apologised for, making up spurious sources at the BBC bet it was a cleaner. Oh no. I have no doubt someone in the press department at the BBC said something when called.
Sir Fynwy Posted 23 September 2014 Posted 23 September 2014 Oh no. I have no doubt someone in the press department at the BBC said something when called. Calling a nobody in the press department at the BBC and using that call to back up a false report doesn't amount to a good standard of journalism but it seems that is the way the Telegraph is going, they need to have something attributable or shut up.
Freesolo Posted 23 September 2014 Posted 23 September 2014 Beats me? They should do a dual knighthood..Sir Gary and Sir Emile at the same time..arise you faithful servants of Leicester.. Heskey would probably fall over, think they will wait till he is using a zimmr
