Corky Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Question for any refs- Can a keeper be sent off in a shootout? Joel was already booked and timewasting again in the shootout, the ref had his yellow card in his hand and looked as though he could show it. Can it happen? Has it happened?
ScouseFox Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 as a qualified ref i would like to let everyone know i have no idea. no wonder the state of officiating in this country is laughable with clowns like me in charge.
Bluefoxtim Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 I've read about what would happen in that situation before. He can be sent off and would just be replaced by one of the outfield players.
HEGGSY Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 If a goalkeeper is sent off during the shoot-out, another player who finished the game must act as goalkeeper.[3] If a player, other than the goalkeeper, becomes injured or is sent off during the shoot-out, then the shoot-out continues with no substitution allowed.[3] From wiki.
Soar Fox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 I know you want an advantage but he was acting like a knob throughout the shootout. The few times I've watched him play he's acted like knob aswell. Really wanted Everton to win to wipe that smug grin of his face.
Matt Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Sounded a reasonably good atmosphere before the match at Portman Road by all accounts, 2 minutes in and it went instantly dead, weird.
Matt Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Tottingham 0-1 Burnley. I'm sorry but this atmosphere at Portman Road is ****ing pathetic, you could hear a pin drop.
ScouseFox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 haha they got one back. there's my unders bet lost after literally ten minutes. sensational.
tickler28 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Tottenham just pulled one back...BBC chose wrong replay!!
tickler28 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Both playing strongish teams....no Ings or Kane
StanSP Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Decent by Shane Long. Very controlled and made it look easy.
Dan Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 I'm edging towards wanting Burnley. Can see it being quite a spicy game due to the slagging off between both clubs and that often seems to be set up for a good game as a result - and I'm missing the league game.
marko Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Marvin Sordell has actually scored a goal?! Spurs must be playing their U12's.
tickler28 Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 Burnley are p****ing me off...they're supposed to be c**p not getting results against Man City and Spurs!!!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 14 January 2015 Posted 14 January 2015 5,000 fans at Spurs would be class. Really hope it's them.
