jimmeh Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 As if someone said man u are better than england. No way.
Donut Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Barring the occasional big shock, England would beat Leicester the majority of the time. Just far better all over the pitch.
Brooksy Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Let me put it this way, Man Utd are better than England. Our superior team ethic and better cohesion would give us every chance of beating them. It's not like England have many special individuals so I fail to see how we'd have no chance. Agreed.
Jakemoore Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 I don't know about this but I'm glad the internationals are over so we can get back to the real thing. Club before country for me....
suffolk fox Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Had to laugh when Martin Tyler said, England haven't conceded a goal since Suarez scored against them in St Paulo. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr well no Martin and itv and that's because they haven't played anyone who is any good yet.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr well no Martin and itv and that's because they haven't played anyone who is any good yet. switzerland are ranked inside the world's top ten... besides we're always being told how horrendous england are so that's a good stat for what is apparently a bunch of no hopers.
ParkerPen Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 A good club side should beat an equivalent or better international team (within reason of course), they don't train or play together often enough in comparison. Clearly England has better players in most if not all positions than us, but that doesn't equate to performance on the pitch necessarily...
Beliall Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 england. Roy would call up vardy, nuge , moore , drinks james and hammond just because he can
Babylon Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Could we, yes... Would we, most of the time probably not. We couldn't even beat an awful Burnley.

Our superior team ethic and better cohesion would give us every chance of beating them. It's not like England have many special individuals so I fail to see how we'd have no chance. Their better than Palace and Burnley as well. All those making a big deal out of Englands last two performances (both of which they won despite putting in next to no effort) should look at ours.
jimmeh Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Is there a player for England who wouldn't walk into our team? Erm no. Next
Nalis Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 England are probably similar to Everton/Spurs in quality so using that logic, if we played England five teams we'd probably win one draw one and lose the other three.
Silverdaz Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 Is there a player for England who wouldn't walk into our team? Erm no. Next Hart, Rooney, Baines , Cahill, Lallana just a few who would
suffolk fox Posted 14 October 2014 Posted 14 October 2014 switzerland are ranked inside the world's top ten... besides we're always being told how horrendous england are so that's a good stat for what is apparently a bunch of no hopers. Makes a mockery of the fifa ranking system when the likes of Switzerland are in the top ten. They are truly woeful. England really have an easy group for qualifying for the European Championships. Even Scotland would qualify from that group. It really is shocking. First time we will play anyone half decent at the Euros we will lose. I am English through and through but England as a football team really are poor.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 14 October 2014 Posted 14 October 2014 I love the fact there are two parallel threads on FT, one where people are queuing up to say we'll give England a stuffing, and one where people are confidently predicting we'll get done by Newcastle...
lcfcjw16 Posted 15 October 2014 Posted 15 October 2014 Cambiasso vs Wilshere... Bit of a difference in class
