ealingfox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Just for fun - A fit, first-choice Leicester side from our current squad in reasonable form v a fit, first-choice England side from the current squad in reasonable form. Who would win a match and what would the game be like? Don't automatically say England because they're 'international level' and are better on paper. As we all know, they are doggo for an international side. I genuinely think we could beat them.
johnny the fox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 coventry would turn this england team over...fookin hell.
ScouseFox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 england 8 or 9 times out of 10. obviously anything can happen in a one off game but if we played them in a league they'd finish above us because they're better than us.
Stadt Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Us, England would have 70% sterile possession and struggle to break us down and we'd do them (us?) on the counter.
Charl91 Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 England the majority of the time. We could cause an upset, but very rarely. It would be a terrible game, with England to win 1 - 0 from a Cahill header.
Unabomber Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Vardy would score and we would win one nil and Roy would be well mad that he didn't pick Vardy for his dead good ENG team imo.
AdamN Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Given how slow England are in possession, it'd be interesting to see if they could cope with our high pressing game. Most of our squad would walk right into the Estonian side, so if England are struggling to break them down then I can't see why we wouldn't give them a game.
Freesolo Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 England don't have the chance to train together every day of the week, i think we would give them a good game but could go either way
MattGamble92 Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 I'd love to see Rooney and Vardy together up front
Stadt Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 I know it's not as simple as we're better than Estonia so we'd give them a better game but England couldn't break down 10 man Estonia, so they'd have a job doing the same to us - we have the urgency that England so desperately lack. And you saw what happened the last time we played against a diamond.
ousefox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Where would this England team come in the Prem? 6th or 7th for me at a push
Kitchandro Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 No chance Let me put it this way, Man Utd are better than England. Our superior team ethic and better cohesion would give us every chance of beating them. It's not like England have many special individuals so I fail to see how we'd have no chance.
DennisNedry Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Depends which Leicester turn up. If we played like we did against Man Utd we'd win. If we played like we did against Arsenal, Everton we'd draw. If we played like we did against Chelsea, Stoke, Palace, Burnley we'd lose.
theessexfox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Lose more times than not. Just like we'd lost to United more times than not.
foxsake Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Which side would Vardy be on? Honestly, Sterling and The Ox would be all over our beloved Leicester.
Cat Burger Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Could we beat Switzerland 2-0 away from home?
ADK Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Club teams are a lot better than national sides imo due to better coordination and teamwork.
Walshy5 Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 England would win. We tend not to do so well against shit sides.
ScouseFox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 Could we beat Switzerland 2-0 away from home? yes switzerland are doggo
AyewJoking Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 England in reasonable form would beat us surely, even if we were in reasonable form.
