So strange that this thread is about dog food and at the bottom of the page there is dog sat there with a scarf on.

It says cat food production on mine

A tin of chappie and some boiled rice. Also give it a cod liver oil capsule daily, keeps the joints good for later years especially in pedigree dogs that are renowned for hip problems

Have you smelt a dogs farts after eating chappie?

Good idea on the cod liver oil tablets, should think about that with mine as they run 3 miles a day minimum.

Does he get loads of boxes of Mars bars to?? My mate from works wife works there, never got why they get given mars bars

Yep, Pedigree, mars bars and uncle bens rice. All made by the Mars company. They used to make Chappie in that factory too, maybe they still do. When I did work experience there many years ago i know that tankers full of fish guts not fit for human consumption went into producing Chappie. Definitely dog food at the budget end.

Chappie was the only thing my yorkie i had growing up would eat. The stuff stank so badly. I couldn't stand feeding him!

My GSD is on a part raw diet. The quality of dry food here is quite poor so I'm supplementing with raw beef.

I change which food I get each week because my border collie gets bored of the same food.

Same with my huskies and being in Italy they tend to feed dogs any old shit. Probably least surprising are the bags of dog pasta.

Anyone know how to go about getting my dog registered in the kennel club? She's a full pedigree German Shep.

This. The dog loves it, healthy stools, no added sugar/any other nasties and it's carefully calculated with the proteins and oils needed for healthy dogs. Definitely don't go on the cheap - feeding a puppy with that Bakers garbage is like bringing up a child on McDonalds chips. Crammed full of additives and salts/sugars so the dog eats it, but of incredibly poor nutritional value.

The cheaper foods are also known to give dogs bizarre energy spikes and lulls, and not getting the nutrition they need can bring on joint problems at very young age which can cost loads in vet bills and insurance premiums

We were feeding Wainwrights Puppy Best Friend to start but Arden Grange is supposedly the king of puppy foods so we weaned her onto that

Please for your pup's sake don't go for Bakers or any bargain basement stuff

Healthy stools?

What constitutes a healthy stool?

Seriously, I know a councilor who is a specialist in cases where dogs have raped a human, it would help the healing process.... Mentally that is.

Let me know if you need it.
