I disagree, met plenty of footballers who have been totally open about negative aspects of clubs when off the record.

THIS

I spoke to Neil Lennon in a pub before Peter Taylor sold him to Celtic. He said he couldnt wait to leave because half the players thought Taylor was a total cvnt and he was going to take them down. Taggart and Eadie were there too and nodded along.

Let's get some results in the bag and points on the board.

WFT!?! I can understand this when players keep trotting out the same old tired shit to Sky and the Mercury, but Drinky hasn't talked to the press, he's just bumped into a fan and chatted to him. What did you want him to do? Say "Sorry mate can't talk to now about the club and the feeling in the camp until we've hopfully beaten Sunderland in couple of weeks. If we do, come find me then."

I bumped into Drinkwater in Manchester yesterday and had a quick chat about the form of late. Not only was he very chatty and open (contradictory to the usual Drinkwater seen in front of camera), but he explained that the whole squad are still in high spirits and emphasised that I shouldn't worry, as it will definitely 'click' soon.

Take from that what you will, but genuinely a very chatty and nice guy all round. There certainly didn't look like there was any discontent, and sounded like he was looking forward to the next match.

Did he cup both his ears whilst listening to you?

I've heard from few people that him and Pearson have had a falling out... Probs explains why not been selected or came off the bench for few games

I heard it was because his performances weren't up to scratch and that Pearson thought James would be a better partner for Cambiasso but who knows. :dunno:

He is the one i've found most dissapointing alongside James.

After the season they had, I really thought they had what it takes but in the games they've played so far, Hammond and King looked far more comfortable at this level.

Perhaps the injury against Everton had more an effect we maybe thought it would?

Danny Drinkwater is at his best when he's played in the middle of the pitch. He's fantastic, most of our good stuff goes through him and if he plays well generally the team does. Problem is, I can hardly remember him playing there this season. He is totally wasted on the right of a diamond which is where he's played majority of the time. Best I've seen him is Stoke away where he was excellent. I think he's been really unlucky to lose his place.

He should be in the side instead of Matty James purely so we don't have to endure any more of James set pieces, they are worse than anything i've seen from a Leicester player for years and that is an astounding accolade considering how bad we've been a set pieces for a long while.

Drinkwater has been disappointing this season, even when we were playing fairly well I thought he wasn't anywhere near the level he's capable of. He can't be any worse than James right now who has wasted so many decent chances in recent games that if they'd fallen to Danny we'd have secured a couple more vital points.

The problem we have is there's potential in the likes of Drinkwater, Vardy, Moore, De Laet, Mahrez and James and sadly all of them are struggling to make an impact. It's hard to do it individually but collectively they're only going to make a difference if someone can stand up and sort this slump out. Drinkwater was our heartbeat last season and I believe he is the one who needs to rise above this and get us going again.

Sadly he's taking them because the others are worse than him.

I know some of his free kicks have been woeful, but I didn't think his corners were that bad to be fair. I remember seeing him taking them last season and thinking it was refreshing to see a player be able to whip a decent ball in at pace. Not sure what's happened this season for people to find them awful ha. That free kick he drifted out for a goal kick was horrible to see though, especially after witnessing Westwood's peach to set Clarke up.
