bluefox88 Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 I bumped into Drinkwater in Manchester yesterday and had a quick chat about the form of late. Not only was he very chatty and open (contradictory to the usual Drinkwater seen in front of camera), but he explained that the whole squad are still in high spirits and emphasised that I shouldn't worry, as it will definitely 'click' soon. Take from that what you will, but genuinely a very chatty and nice guy all round. There certainly didn't look like there was any discontent, and sounded like he was looking forward to the next match.
StanSP Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 To play devil's advocate, he's not exactly going to say things are going up the shitter internally and there's no confidence any more? I do believe it will click soon. Confident we'll find the right way to play and the way we used to which saw our early-season success.
bluefox88 Posted 11 November 2014 Author Posted 11 November 2014 I agree, but you can usually see sincerity in someone when speaking face to face. He was very open, and as I say, looked genuinely gutted about our form, and was excited to turn things around asap.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Seems a top bloke reading that hopefully he can get back into some form soon.
Benji Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Did you boo in his face? If you didn't, GTFO Foxestalk.

Nalis Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Did you boo in his face? If you didn't, GTFO Foxestalk.
Corky Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Good that he's prepared to chat freely with a fan. Hope his season turns around too.
VLC86 Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Did you boo in his face? If you didn't, GTFO Foxestalk. I guess he walked off cupping his ears as well, Pearson has to go. In all seriousness its good to hear but doesn't really mean much.
Fox92 Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Why has my post been removed? Only asked where he was...
VLC86 Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Why has my post been removed? Only asked where he was... Because stalking isn't big and isn't clever, it's also illegal.

I disagree, met plenty of footballers who have been totally open about negative aspects of clubs when off the record.
Fox92 Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Because stalking isn't big and isn't clever, it's also illegal. Considering I live in the same area I was quite intrigued as to where this meeting took place.

Always loved Drinkwater. Where about's in Manchester did you see him?
kingfox Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Might be a nice guy, but due to form I might have to draw up a victims list again soon.
VLC86 Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Considering I live in the same area I was quite intrigued as to where this meeting took place. Living somewhere and sleeping in a players car park are quite different.
Captain... Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Might be a nice guy, but due to form I might have to draw up a victims list again soon. Well do everyone on here a favour and put yourself at the top if it
bluefox88 Posted 11 November 2014 Author Posted 11 November 2014 Always loved Drinkwater. Where about's in Manchester did you see him? In 'American Apparel' on market street.
kingfox Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 Well do everyone on here a favour and put yourself at the top if it You part of that association of wankers, I hate Kingfox club. Done nothing to annoy anybody for a good number of months.
bovril Posted 11 November 2014 Posted 11 November 2014 In 'American Apparel' on market street. American Apparel? Drop the fvcker.

Did you ask him about how felt about our playing style being negative, and the lack of creativity?
ealingfox Posted 12 November 2014 Posted 12 November 2014 Imagine being on a PL footballer's wage and shopping at American Apparel.
