MC Prussian Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Back to putting words in people's mouths again. No it's a bit of sarcasm, nobody expected to win more than we lose, but nobody expected what we are seeing now, it's all very concerning, and that concern is showing in the stands, no more, no less. Win a couple of games, get the good feeling back, the atmosphere changes again. Judging by the prat(s) in the (now deleted) video, it clearly isn't just "a bit of sarcasm". It was loud for everyone to hear, it was repeated and it was aimed directly at the manager. I mean, literally. You're telling me that I'm putting words in other people's mouth, yet claim "nobody expected what we are seeing now"? Have a word.
ousefox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 It's weird how NP doesn't seem to be liked by a decent amount of our fans. A lot of people seemed to want him to fail as soon as we started this run. He never seems to get the respect he deserves from the fans. Barely ever heard a Pearson song all season and if so only by a small minority and not for long.

Have a word, did I expect to struggle yes, did I expect no win in what 10, did I expect no goals in over 500 minutes, oh sorry you expected all this, can you tell me what to expect from now till the end of the season please, the all knowing Prussian. The sarcasm I refered to was mine, I assumed that's what you challenged earlier. And to add, I've not seen the video, but Pearson should ignore it, but it's clearly touch a nerve, whatever was said. You think I have a downer on Pearson, yes maybe I do a bit, not so much for football reasons, I don't like arrogant people, sorry can't be helped, but judge him on football, he get us going he has my full support, but he cannot continue in this vain If I'm honest I don't want Pearson to go and have pulis in, or a managerial merry go round, but he needs to stop this form before it gets to damaging, and if it does, maybe a change will have to happen

And if you call shouting abuse at the manager "concern showing in the stands" then I shall be damned. Because it goes way beyond that. It goes beyond any sense of decency towards a person who is doing his/her job. It's not concern, it is resentment.

See my edited post, cover it their, didn't say the people were right, but would expect a professional to rise above it, yes he's human, and as I said earlier, in my old job I had to show professionalism and decency, to people who gave foul abuse, sometimes you just have to ignore it, and not take it to heart
Itsthejoeker Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 No wonder you were abused daily at work when you act like this.

As a football manager, you're under different and more pressure than in other jobs, also thanks to (media) exposure. It's all fine and dandy talking about standards in anger management, yet I don't know what I'd do if I were in the same shoes as Pearson, getting that kind of stick. I think up until now, he's managed composure. Not always, but mostly.

I have one on me tonight and could quite easly rant at people on here who try and provoke with sarcasm, which to be fair I have been provoking myself, but sometimes you have to bite your lip.Pearson is human and has reacted in a way that has probaly annoyed him, because someone has got under his skin, and May or may not regret his actions. Like with stringer niggling at him, he's pissed me off with his arrogants and comments, but again he may listen back and think why did I bite, because his comments have done him no favours. Anyway enjoyed our debate, hope Pearson sorts it out, because I defiantly don't enjoy this, and like I say I just want the club to do well, and rather do well now with Pearson, than keep losing, and play a lottery game with someone new.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Soft on the pitch, soft in the stands. Filth
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Tried to get it on last night but I was soft on the pitch, soft in the stands
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 On a side note, why is it the lads at the top of the Kop have an inability to sing in time with the east stand. It's like have some weird echo Sound waves are relatively slow which produces a delay, plus the East Stand is hard to hear (NOT A POP AT L1) from the Kop which makes it difficult at times to pick out a specific tune and our fans (all around the ground) tend to get bored after the first repetition which makes it hard to get a song going around the stadium.
saabrian Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 From the tele, atmosphere sounded top class. Commentators noted so as well.

A lot of people seemed to want him to fail as soon as we started this run. He never seems to get the respect he deserves from the fans. Barely ever heard a Pearson song all season and if so only by a small minority and not for long. Agreed. Some people have never liked him and it's baffling. Sure, he is no fan of PR but i actually find that quite endearing! With every season he has improved this clubs league position. Even this season if we finish 20th it is an improvement on the previous 10 years! I really don't want him to go anywhere. If we survive this season then he will make us better next season. If we go down then he will get us straight back up. How some fans have the nerve to call for his head when our previous managers have included Megson and Levein I don't know.
chicagofox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 What exactly does who we have previously had as a manager have to do with whether or not Pearson should stay or go? Let me answer that, absolutely nothing. Let's not replace Schmeichel either cos once we had Kalac and we had Junior Lewis in our midfield once so nobody dare criticize James/Cambiasso/Drinkwater etc.
Silverdaz Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 I have to say I was ashamed by our fans tonight, an evening game against Liverpool the lads needed every bit of help they coukld get and what do most of our fans do sit there quietly regardless of the position we are in we should give them a bit of help. Look at Palace, Stoke and to some extent Burnley there crowd get behind their team regardless. We need to make the KP a hostile place for teams and opposition fans
Filbert_Ross Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Was quite surprised how quiet it was. Thought it was better against Sunderland. Hated it when a few hundred applauded Gerrard when he came over to take a corner in front off sk4. Jokers.
harpendenfox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Why on earth would anyone buy one of those 'Leicester/Liverpool' split scarf thingies? I know there are more important things in the world, but you support Leicester don't you?

howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 **** knows. It's baffles me just as much as people having them 'baby on board' things in their car. Baby on board signs are for if the cars in a smash so the emergency services know to look for a small child.
Filbert_Ross Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Baby on board signs are for if the cars in a smash so the emergency services know to look for a small child. Hope these people remove it then when the child isn't on board to stop the emergency services wasting time and possibly endangering themselves trying to save a phantom kid.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 It started off well, and and the ending reminded me of the Brighton hammering last year, lots of singing and fans leaving early with our own fans shouting abuse at them ...
