Guest ttfn Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 It amazes me how Wasilewski managed to get out of that game without a yellow card... Schlupp even got a yellow and he picked up his for heading a 50/50 ball while looking at the ball with his arms not even raised, Wasilewski seems immune at the minute. If you were a referee would you book Wasilewski?
Leicesterpool Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 At to give Nigel a three, would have given him an higher score considering our performance wasn't all that bad but his post match antics won't do him any favours, but still want him to be given the opportunity to turn this round so a stay for me.
smiggy6773 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Schmeichel - 4 Poor kicking and defo to blame for 3rd Liverpool goal De Leat - 5 Played better, still looks weak to me Morgan - 4 Struggled all game, even though blocked a Liverpool chance in first half Wasilewski - 6 He's playing ok, solid, hard Konchesky - 5 Not the best of games, poor passes again Mahrez - 5 Not his best game, poor control and passing Cambiasso - 6 Should have never have missed that open goal!! Looks slow, but done some running last night. Needs to command more in the middle James - 6 Looks good with Cambiasso, needs to practise his free kicks/corners Schlupp - 5 Tried his best, still looks half a sleep sometimes Vardy - 5 Worked hard, ran his socks off, needs a goal to boost his confidence Ulloa - 6 Some of his first touches let him down. Had a good chance in stoppage time to score with his head, should have done better really Albrighton - 4 Not enough time to make any impact
shen Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Gerrard jumped. More like Kasper stumbled and brought down Gerrard clumsily, but OK.
Babylon Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 If you were a referee would you book Wasilewski? I'd book myself for even considering booking him.
Stevosevic Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Morgan MOTM - for Liverpool. Two assists and a Red card. He was MOTM on Saturday too - for QPR.
HitchinFox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 For me, De Laet and Wasyl share the man of the match - for us, I mean. Wes was atrocious - he was fault at their first two goals. First heading down a chance on a plate for Lallana and then doing the same in the second half - this time with his feet - for Gerrard to tuck it home. Kasper's howler for the third didn't cost us the game but was worrying. Would wake him up by giving Hamer a go at Villa.
Dickov22 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Just seen the goals back. It's so so harsh to blame Wes entirely for the two goals. First goal, yeah it's a poor header but guess what sometimes that happens when you get your head to a ball. It doesn't always go where you want it. I'd place more of the blame at Konchesky who fell asleep at the back post allowing Lallana to ghost past him to get to a ball first when he had no right to. Second goal was a poor ish clearance from Wes but he was stretching. Where were the midfielders tracking Gerrard? All in all it was a defensive horror show for all three goals. Wes didn't provide 'two assists'. He was one of a number of players who made mistakes that good teams punish you for.
Kitchandro Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 A lot of average performances. Most players did some good things and some very bad things. The exceptions were Morgan, who had a catastrophic evening, Schmeichel who was poor again, and Schlupp who is a pathetic excuse for a professional. Ulloa good first half, very poor second. Mahrez looked lively but had no end product at all. Vardy the same. James and Cambiasso hit and miss. The ref was as bad as last week and Pearson worse having made only one sub and leaving Drinkwater and Knockaert on the bench when we needed a goal.

Not to mention yet again we let a cross come into our box when it could have been avoided. We did not learn from Saturday.
ADK Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 I get the sentiment but Morgan consistently fails to put his clearances outside the danger zone. I think the frustrating thing for me is that the last 6 goals we have conceded have been the result of a chain of errors from us rather than coming about from strong opposition play.
Ian S Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 what's with the low marks for Matty James? He was our 2nd best player after Riyad again You are a wind up merchant,Riyad Mahrez was seriously average, has 5 minute spells about 3 times a game where he ups his work rate and looks gifted but then has 25 minute spells 3 times a game where he is Mr Anonymous.Albrighton to replace him at Villa for me.
Fox Ulike Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 It was probably a penalty but Kasper did well not to dive in and then to obstruct Gerrard on the blind side of the ref. He prevented a certain goal. So credit where credit’s due. He messed up for the third but he actually saved us there. Anyway Gerrard was about five fvcking yards offside what was the p1ssing linesman doing? Wasyl was our best player. Him and Cambiasso and James got 8s from me. I think Albrighton has shown enough in the last two games to suggest he’s worth another start. Maybe on the left with Schlupp moved to left-back and Konchesky ‘rested’. Mahrez has got to start.
foxinsox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Albrighton on the right wing (particularly for Villa) Mahrez on the left wing, Schlupp at left back. Moore in for Morgan. Hamer in goal.
theessexfox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Kasper - 3 - Not up to it De Laet - 6 - Did alright Morgan - 5 - Did a lot well but a howler Wasilewski - 6 - Did quite well Konchesky - 5 - Liability in possession Mahrez - 6 - Not in the game a lot except the pass to Vardy, was excellent last 15 Cambiasso - 7 - Poor miss but very good in possession James - 6 - Some good, some bad Schlupp - 6 - Did alright Ulloa - 6 - Some good hold up play and good shot for the goal Vardy - 5 - Tried but lacked quality Albrighton - 6 - Good crosses
Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 The referee was absolutely shocking firstly in the first half if he thinks sterlings dived why hasn't he given him a yellow card, secondly sterlings grabbed the ball before the ref blew the whistle that's deliberate handball which should equal a yellow card, Gerrard also should of been booked if he thinks he dived
Father Ted Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 Why is everyone slating James' corners? His delivery was excellent, we just have nobody who knows how to be a set piece threat. It seems as though our fans cant think for themselves in times of crisis and just jump on bandwagons.
foxinsox Posted 3 December 2014 Posted 3 December 2014 We never look like scoring from corners. There is not enough pace on the ball or variety of ball in.
