Bamba's Babes Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Jon Rudkin; "Nigel, we've got £20 million to get us out of this slump, give me three players you need and I'll get you them!" Nigel Pearson; "Jon, I can't fault the application of my players, they're a good bun... Oh, new players? I'll have X, X and X , please." So, which three players would you sign with a hypothetical £20 million to spend this January transfer window? I'd go: - Aleksander Mitrovic - Striker - £14 million We need a finisher and this lad isn't coming for anything less than double figures. Worse comes to worst he'll be sold on for just a little bit less in the summer . - Matt Jarvis - RM/LM - £4 million We need help out side and he has experience and can deliver a good ball. - Kyle Naughton - LB/RB - £2 million He's worth more than £2 million but Tottenham are a dumb club so you never know.

Would take all of these with defoe mabye on a loan and mabye try and get a cb posibbly huth from stoke?
Guest MattP Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Attempt to sign.... Callum McManaman Tyrone Mings Landon Donovan
tommyh Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 KOLO TOURE - just a contract until the end of the season. NANI - loan until end of season if possible if not then if not a loan for Aaron Lennon. LUCAS PODOLSKI - loan until end of season. All have great premier league experiance and all have a bit of a point to prove at this moment in their careers!! There wages would be big yes but only until the end of the season loans with no massive transfer fees to pay, save the majority of the 20 million to spent in the summer on top class players once we are an established premier league club ( presuming we stay up) I would be exstatic with any of these deals, but all three would be amazing!! Get it done!
dobbylcfc Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Attempt to sign.... Callum McManaman Tyrone Mings Landon Donovan Not sure about donovan never really did anything with his loan spells at everton.

Toure is the first replacement is Liverpool's defence and Podolski is always ready to come on for Arsenal. Why would Sporting give us their best player that they have on loan for free?
Donut Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Fabio Borini maybe? Curtis Davies would shore up the back 4 no end, but we dont have much idea about the realism of our targets.
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Attempt to sign.... Callum McManaman Tyrone Mings Landon Donovan Again...smashing post.. All three in a blink of an eye. Donovan gives you experience and effort. MacManaman gives you pace and a cross. Mings gives you quality.
Mark_w Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Lee Cattermole Jay Emmanuel-Thomas Patrick Bamford Problem solved.
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Lee Cattermole Jay Emmanuel-Thomas Patrick Bamford Problem solved. Bamford is actually a good shout? I have wondered if he continue his great goal scoring form into the Prem. Cattermole is one of Sunderland's best players this season..so the chance, undortunately has gone. I give you JET and raise you Waghorn?

Why would Sporting give us their best player that they have on loan for free? Liverpool are going to be adding at least 1 defender in Jan as are Arsenal of a striker!! Surely a loan would be good for both partys as they are both constantly in the press about their unhappyness of 1st team football. A short term deal could get them back in their respective first teams starting 11 or even a deal somewhere else. They would both feel that they merit a place in their current teams so its a chance to prove this by giving their all!! I thought its maybe not that stupid?
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Robert Huth Glenn Whelan Scott Sinclair Jon Flanagan (Loan) Jermain Defoe/Kramaric/Mitrovic
kingpowerout Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Defoe - on loan - proven finisher at this level and at 32 can still offer a lot. Curtis Davies - £4M - if this is the quoted price then I think it is good business and will balance the back four with him being a left-footed CB. Joel Campbell - on loan - a direct, pacey wide-man with an eye for goal with Champions League experience and Arsenal may look to ,loan out to gain experience. Charlie Adam - £5M - not a fan of the guy but his range of passing and nasty streak are just what we need in the middle of the park. Mo Salah - on loan - tricky wide-man but not sure Chelsea will make him available. Mitrovic/Kramaric - £8M-£10M - about time we take a punt on one of Europe's hottest prospects. Think all the above would improve on what we already have. Hopefully we won't end up with Commons, Deeney and McGoldrick

Are Arsenal going to be buying another striker? Even if they did and Podolski was avaliable he could get a loan move to a far bigger club than us.He's an international for a team that has just won the World Cup. Toure has played in the majority of games this season so I doubt he's going anywhere on loan. People need to start getting realistic expectations. We can't even get a look in at Vietto or Cresswell so Podolski is slightly pushing it.
cc_star Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 £20m on Cattermole The rest will take care of itself!

lgfualol Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Aaron Lennon/Campbell on loan Slimani/Mitrovic if we want to get spendy Curtis Davis Ben Davies loan Flanagan loan Bale loan

filbertway Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 I wouldn't mind us trying to get balls deep in Redmond.

Hopefully we won't end up with Commons, Deeney and McGoldrick I think that if we were to sign those players, all of which are fairly likely (bar maybe Salah, who would probably go to Liverpool or someone if he was available), then I really think we could stay up. I'd love us to finish January with; Schmeichel Simpson Davies Morgan Konchesky Cambiasso Drinkwater Adam Mahrez------------------Campbell Mitrovic With a bench of; Hamer, Moore, James, Knockaert, Nugent, Vardy, Schlupp. Surely that team would be 'too good' to drop?
