Steve Walsh - Sure things up at the back

Muzzy Izzett - Creativity in the middle and a pin-point cross

Stan Collymore - Follow on where he left off - banging goals in left, right and centre

 

If there's any cash left then maybe try and get Gerry Taggart, Scott Taylor and Gary Parker on loan.

2012–2013 Partizan 28 (13)

2013– Anderlecht 50 (25)

 

 

So if we sign him we can expect 50 goals this season from him....

Based on names we've either been linked with or I think could do a shift for us...

 

CENTRE BACK - Robert Huth and/or Curtis Davies (both would be a vast improvement on what we have so far and both quite possible).

 

FULL BACK (LEFT MAINLY) - Kyle Naughton and/or Martin Olsson (if not - George Friend, grows each and every year as a player and has played Premiership opposition in his career and done well).

 

MIDFIELD / WINGERS - Aaron Lennon is crying out for regular football, may fancy a loan? Scott Sinclair also, but I think Lennon's attitude would be better and he has rarely let his current club down when called upon.

 

STRIKERS - Andrej Kramaric (permanent) and Defoe/Campbell (probable loan) (dependant on if you want to go for experience or pace).

 

So definitely from those names I think 4 or 5 players are feasible. 2/3 permanents and 2 loans. A good blend of experience and youth.

My shortlist would be:

 

Curtis Davies

A LB of some description (seen Martin Olsson and Tyrone Mings mentioned, both good shouts)

McManaman/Maloney

Defoe (loan)

Campbell (loan)

 

Edit: If we wanted a permanent striker who can play the lone role well then Islam Slimani is definitely a shout (we bid for him in summer as well - maybe Nige was p*ssed off about that one as well??)

Adebayor or loan. pay him 30 or 40 Th a week with a big bonus only for keeping us up. I'd do the same with other targets.

A few million sprinkled is nothing in the grand scale of money within the game.

Why not just offer Chelsea the 90million we get from for being here for loans and then take 5 of their players on loan then sign all the ones we were linked with (Thais will give us da monies)

Maloney's never been bad. Did it for years at Premier League level. Not sure if he's still got it though. Can't believe how bad Wigan are doing this year.

think we should switch to a 3-4-1-2 formation and look at the mls for loans until the end of the season and add some prem i reckon for 20million

So, which three players would you sign with a hypothetical £20 million to spend this January transfer window? 

 

 

I'd go:

 

- Aleksander Mitrovic - Striker - £14 million

 

We need a finisher and this lad isn't coming for anything less than double figures. Worse comes to worst he'll be sold on for just a little bit less in the summer .

 

- Matt Jarvis - RM/LM - £4 million 

 

We need help out side and he has experience and can deliver a good ball.

 

- Kyle Naughton - LB/RB - £2 million

 

He's worth more than £2 million but Tottenham are a dumb club so you never know.

 

Jarvis is a superb shout. Just about as good an old fashioned winger as there is. The problem with Naughton is that he's poor at left back. 

 

Re Mitrovic. Anderlecht fans say that he's even lazier than Balotelli so he really won't suit us.

Unbelievable isn't it. He's actually signed for Orlando City and is on loan to his boyhood club São Paulo.

Unfortunately i can't see him rocking up at the king power to a team that's rock bottom of the premier league lol

Curtis Davies, Kyle Naughton, Lasse Vibe, David Accam, Kramaric, Defoe...

Micah Richards has barely played for Fiorentina this season, no idea what the terms of his loan are but if City want him playing perhaps we could snag him until the end of the season? Someone like Serey Die from Basel who doesn't seem to be getting masses of game time to give us the protection we need would be great too.

A back four of :

Richards - Wes - Davies - Naughton

With Die just infront and a shed load of attacking options would be supoib. It might seem drastic but our defence needs an overhaul or we're down.
