MC Prussian Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Surprised by those stats. Which means you can neiter run nor hide from Big Was.
EGBFitness Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I don't believe half the supposing stats that come out, Was isn't that slow but no way Sterling/Aguero etc. Why does everyone become so obsessed with fast CB's? There has been plenty of world class CBs that aren't fast, if they can read a game then speed isn't such a desired attribute for a CB
itsaknockeart Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I think that's how fast he was running when he nearly killed lallana at the kp Joe Allen wasn't it? Like an out of control steamroller running over an antelope. At 37:20 on the video of the second half: http://livetv.sx/en/showvideo/220932_leicester_city_liverpool/ Was' little look round after the ball goes dead, presumably to check he didn't kill him, is adorable.
Freesolo Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Fastest footballer in history has to be Adam Gemili, He must have been a nightmare to mark almost too fast for the game though
Stadt Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Do you know if Wasilewski has a rage-o-meter like in a game, when he fills it he assaults someone or is he just violent? Also does anyone know if his water bottle contains Tyksie?
AKCJ Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Saw this clip of DeAndre Yedlin tracking back to tackle someone the other day on twitter. At first I thought he was the attacker, I though to myself, yeah he's bloody rapid but I then couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Doesn't it depend upon what type of bear your being attacked by as to what you do, as while one action will save your life against one bear it will get you ripped to shreds by another. As for upsetting Was I think escaping to the space station might get him off your back... For a while.
LAprice_ Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 This is the same man who had his leg snapped in half nearly 6 years ago. I would love to know what time in the game this sprint was recorded because whether it's in the 4th minute or the 94th minute, he still puts everything into tracking back. Every time Leicester mess up a corner he is ALWAYS the first CB to get back. Not only does he sprint back heroically but he also takes out as many players as possible when making the return journey. This often turns a counter attack into a simple defensive move; albeit, simple defensive moves are not our area of expertise.

He's only about half an hour late with that one.
Mike Oxlong Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Was this actually measured on the pitch or in the Players Lounge on his way to get the Tyskies in ?

At first I thought he was the attacker, I though to myself, yeah he's bloody rapid but I then couldn't believe what I was seeing. Good job he's got that pace to get him out of situations like that because it was all down to his woeful attempt at a pass.
sphericalfox Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I've seen Was sprint back for cover, and been surprised by his pace, given who he was up against at the time, but there's no way he's our fastest player this season even with the wind at his back. De Laet and Jeff have produced some blinding runs at speed. Whoever produced these stats needs to take this test.
emmo1987 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 I think he'd have been clocked when he sprints back from going up for a corner! He properly surges back!
Bayfox Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 Good job he's got that pace to get him out of situations like that because it was all down to his woeful attempt at a pass. yeah but if only (insert name) tracked back like that. And Sanchez, and Agbonlahor! and we know gabby can run away from him. showed that at villa park
premier blues Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 These figures are b*****it because no way is Downing as quick as Was
Stadt Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 It's because he put the gps tracking thing into his sock and swung it at someone
Carl the Llama Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 A better graph would be each team's player with the best average top speed.
Monsell1976 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 If the big lad says he's fast, I'm not going to tell him he ain't
Kermorgant Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 Surely a mistake? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2901692/Newcastle-midfielder-Moussa-Sissoko-Premier-League-s-fastest-player.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
leicesterlad1989 Posted 9 January 2015 Posted 9 January 2015 That's on one occasion. Should they do an average then I am sure he wouldn't be third fastest. I imagine he was sprinting like a nutter back from a corner.
