For those who think Wasilewski is slow

Not surprised at all by that, never know why so many people see him as slow, he's been absolutely brilliant this season.

Over what distance though? I'm sure I saw stats at the start of the season saying de laet had hit 37kmph or something similar, and that jagielka was the fastest player in the prem at nearly 40kmph.

If they want a true measure of who can run the fastest they should do a show like 'Release the Hounds'

'Release Wasilewski'

Starve him for a few days then set him on every player in the league

I think Wasilewski has been our best centre back this season. At 34 to have the fitness to clock a speed like that says something for the way he trains and his natural ability. If only we had signed him when he was 28 and could have had a few years out of him.

Quick, strong and solid. Why haven't Man City tried to sign him yet?

Probably saw how easy Pelle backed into him to hold the ball up at Southampton.

These stats don't really mean one player is literally faster than another player, surely. To measure that you'd have to set them up in a sprint. This was over one game for examples. There's no way he's faster than Sterling as that list suggests, that was clear when we played Liverpool (in the air he wasn't a thread, in behind he was). I don't think Wasilewski is slow but those stats don't suggest Sanchez is the fastest player in the league. It was just a particular game.

Bloody hell. This scares me even more. That means you can't even run away from him.

You have to climb a tree or run in zigzags ... or is that a crocodile?

Anyway, the sage advice would be not to get too close, this includes the new craze of trying to get a 'selfie' with a Wasilewski ... or was that a brown bear?

Sorry guys I am getting really confused between my dangerous animals today.

Edit:

Just had a quick look at what to do if attacked by a crocodile:

and a bear:

Very useful, but the website says nothing about what to do if attacked by a Wasilewski - I draw from this the following conclusion: you are f**ked!

Cheers

During his first start against West Brom he lost Berahino a couple of times which may explain why he's perceived as slow but since then he's been almost faultless.

yeah my post was meant to be sarcastic

He's probably one of those players who's slow off the mark, but can shift once he hits his stride. It'd be interesting to see their average speeds over a distance.

I have to say I was one who thought he was slow and would be found out but have to agree he has changed my mind over the last month or so, regardless of this stat.

Saturday will show how quick he is with both Benteke and Agbonlahor running at him
