foxfanazer Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 'This shocking video shows the frightening moment fans clash on the street' Did they not watch the video? Seen more frightening things on Cbeebies
Nick Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Just seen this thought it was worth a share, can see a few interesting comments coming on this http://www.sports-network.co.uk/blog/4587559160/Aston-Villa-and-Leicester-fans-brawl-in-street-as-11-supporters-are-held-by-police-following-clash/9289849 I can just imagine them all after the event talking about how they had been in a rumble. All they achieved was to upset and intimidate residents and pedistrians, risk causing criminal damage to the property of others and make themselves look like a team of chucklebrothers ('to me to you') unable to co-ordinate a handbag exchange. None of them even knew how to fight or really wanted to fight - weird, pathetic and pointless activity.
woznotwos Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I cant pass a traffic cone now without first crossing the street
woznotwos Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I think the same guys were at Twycross causing trouble this week

melrose Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 I'm not sticking up for the lads in the video but I'd wager that most of the keyboard warriors that are commenting would cross the street and hurry on past. Then breath a huge sigh of relief when they thought that they were safe!

Then breath a huge sigh of relief when they thought that they were safe! But not you. You would have done what? Joined in? Shouted "Stop friends, this is madness" Took off your top and stated that if they didn't stop they would all have to answer to you? What would have separated your actions as a bystander from the keyboard warriors you describe?
Guest MattP Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Officers were also called to the Richard III pub in Highcross Street on Saturday, it is understood that an ashtray was thrown at a group of supporters by another gang and a fight erupted. Eyewitnesses said the men were hurling insults and threats at each other as the dispute spilled over into the road near the stadium. Anyone see the problem in the accuracy of that report?
Nick Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Anyone see the problem in the accuracy of that report? Absolutely
melrose Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Anyone see the problem in the accuracy of that report? Yep...pubs don't have ashtrays these days!
Babylon Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Yep...pubs don't have ashtrays these days! Any self respecting hooligan carries their own these days.
woznotwos Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Thank god the Germans never had ashtrays on the beaches of Normandy. We could all be speaking German now .

Then breath a huge sigh of relief when they thought that they were safe! They ran away .....then threw bins and traffic cones , they should take up being a keyboard warrior because thief street warrior is a JOKE They should have not got involved and maybe bought a ticket and support THIER team , instead of hanging around in town at 3.30 looking for a ruck The whole video is an embarrassment !!!

I can't argue with that They didn't come off looking very good, no matter what perspective you take.

Just silly If they innocent guys who got set about we would all be up in arms and supporting them but at 3.30 Saturday wearing all the foot soldier kit they certainly were not innocent I actually find the video hilarious , and the media reaction even more so I don't remember as much saturday trouble in town last year compared to what we have seen this year

Vlad the Fox Posted 20 January 2015 Posted 20 January 2015 Anyone see the problem in the accuracy of that report? Either that or someone as inadvertently grassed the pub up for flouting the smoking ban.
