LCFC hub Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 How much would you accept now? The £15 million quoted in the papers make me laugh
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The comments on the first page are absolutely hilarious
Fox92 Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 I really don't understand why people decide to bump old threads. Of course the posts are going to be negative, we were bottom of the league half the season and looked absolutely dire. People have changed their minds now, big wow. If we could all predict the future I'm sure we'd all be millionaires.
Babylon Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 How much would you accept now? The £15 million quoted in the papers make me laugh Certainly wouldn't be the price tag we put on him that's for sure. Can't imagine teams would want to pay more than that though.
Babylon Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The comments on the first page are absolutely hilarious The one about Kramaric being No.1 in the pecking order.... based on seemingly nothing but his price tag.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 The one about Kramaric being No.1 in the pecking order.... based on seemingly nothing but his price tag. well he was at the time technically, Pearson played him as the lone striker and sacrificed everyone up front for him. So I'm not entirely sure how you can argue with that.
ScouseFox Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 What happened to him being the next best thing, England squad blah blah blah BLAH BLAH BLAH
rico Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Some of the comments on this thread are brilliant! My particular favorite is "snap their hands off" on page 1 Was a popular opinion at the time

So I'm not entirely sure how you can argue with that. He'd signed two days before that post and not even kicked a ball for us... so yes, I can argue with someone having him as no.1 striker without seeing him play.

You don't spend a club record on a player in January no less, without expecting him to be number one in the pecking order, especially considering how awful we had been in front of goal all season.
Buzzell Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Apparently we've put a £15m price tag on his head. I can tell you now that that is a load of bollocks. £15m
Guest MattP Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Painful read It's amazing in hindsight how people purely rate players on a price tag, Vardy out and a few million extra for Okazaki was good business, Kramaric was our first choice based on the fact he was a record signing. Imagine if had got rid for 5 million then had to watch him play like this for the last 9 months elsewhere.
Nalis Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 In fairness Star Fox called it on the first page. Now its my turn... the more assured Benalouane will replace Huth at the heart of our defence, becomes an influential as Kompany for Man City and gets us a Champions League spot, FIFA will finally let him play for France, he impresses, gets onto the squad/first team for Euro 2016 and fires in the header which clinches the tournament for the host nation. He'll obviously get sent off before the end of the game but still...
Bamba's Babes Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 We whacked £15M on his head in the summer when Aston Villa were sniffing. Media want a new angle to talk about Vardy and it's the only info they have on him. He's worth much more than £15M now.
EGBFitness Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Are we not calling for his England cap anymore? To slag any of our strikers off is abit harsh IMO, they have been provided very little most the season and have converted most good opportunities they've been given. Glad to see I wasn't apart of Vardy slating/wanting him to leave Evidence for Fif from his comments he made in the Hull game last week although was nice to see he was actually one who said we should sell him!? I think for any of our players to leave now bar a few I would be disappointed. We have a solid foundation here of team spirit but we do have a very good group of individuals too. It isn't just down to confidence why we are in the position we are in
Dan Posted 2 November 2015 Posted 2 November 2015 Thing is if I saw someone playing how he did for the first half of the season again I'd think the exact same. What's happened with him this season is like nothing I've ever seen, and probably like nothing you'll see again. I can't remember anything quite like it. I'd never sell him now though. There's no point. He's got an attitude that's born out of coming back time and time again and that's irreplaceable. He's shown he can score regularly at this level, at last. In hindsight... I don't actually think Pearson did a lot for him during a lot of last season. Seem to remember Pearson sticking him on the right wing when we had a fully fit Albrighton not in the eighteen.

Getting rid of him in January would be the dumbest move ever from the club.
