Leicester Lass

Vardy a wanted man.

Vardy is not out of his depth. His work rate is first class, some of his little lay offs and flicks are first class, his one on one finishing can be first class and his pace is certainly first class. What he is however is a confidence player who has been fast-tracked to the top level and asked to produce in a struggling team.

I have faith that he will come good and he's certainly more likely to step up than Nugent but he just needs time (which we can't give him in our current predicament). I would therefore stick with him and hope that he comes good in time. For anything upwards of £7million I'd start to think about it (based on who we could get in as a replacement) but I think it'll all be down to Jamie Vardy as to whether this is a goer or not.

Pearson has huge faith in and admiration for him so unless he wants to go he'll be staying here.

Wow. From people talking about England call ups (overrated) to people saying he now isn't good enough for the Premier League (underrated). Short-term memories aplenty here.

Watch a video of his goals last season back and then tell me that he can't finish, wasn't too good for The Championship and doesn't have what's required to make it in The Premier League...

Does anyone genuinely believe that Vardy will make the difference for either us or West Brom this season?

What an absolute knobhead.

We play faster football when Nugent is on the pitch, rather than the so-called 'pacey' Vardy, Nugent enables more from other players than Vardy does & he's been a lot better for us since returning from injury than Ulloa, Kramerac & Vardy added together

After Saturday's performance, if anyone was to offer a bag of Salt & Vinegar for Vardy, I'd snap their hands off and drive him there myself

No wonder the players don't give a shite about the fans when so many people consistently turn on them and write them off.

Yes I think this probably has some meat on the bones.

The forum this season has been incredible for slagging off so many of our own players on a pretty consistent basis.

In the shake up for our POTS.

Probably the reason we're on the way to survival with his recent form.

We need him next season.

Pretty desperate situation if your POTS is a striker who's scored 4 in 24.

Can't see past cambiasso myself.

Don't get me wrong, appreciate vardy's recent contributions....

Keep.

Love Vardy. I really think he will come good towards the end of the season and score some crucial goals against West Brom & Burnley.

Hate to say I told you so chaps

You must take into account his assists and his constant danger.

For me the POTS is the one who gets us the wins or prevents the losses when we are having a bad season. Being the best player when we play poorly is not a great situation in my opinion.

Was having this convo with mi lad last night.

When on this form (and there's the problem. ..its not consistent) is there ANY Prem striker you'd rather not play against than Vardy? Maybe Aguero I guess, or Costa?

He really must be a nightmare to try to mark. He's absolute lightning quick and like a dog with a bone..chasing down everything.

I'm not talking about class or finishing etc...just that he must be a right handful to play against when like this.

Yet some expect players to die for the team. I know it's not just our fans but there's a lot of fickle, ungrateful and pathetic people on here.

He played a massive role this season in one of the most memorable Leicester games in recent history, he's also pivotal in dragging us out of the relegation zone, as he was in stomping our way to the title last season. Yet some would still discard this guy who was playing non-league a couple of years ago because he's had a quiet few months in the Premier League.

It happened with Kingy as well, couldn't imagine him playing elsewhere yet there's plenty on here that would have got rid of him several times.

Good post Haydos.

I literally remember only a few weeks ago about posts which essentially suggested King was useless.

I tried to say that our good start to the season coincided with King's presence in the team. And recently, he has been by far IMO our best player.

I can guarantee that terry and Cahill will be delighted if he's rested on wed

Mourinho prob not bothered but he won't have to do the extra work vardy will demand of the centre backs

Who would you rather mark? Vardy or Ulloa (or Wood)?

That said, I'd still rest Vardy..having an injection in his foot means he needs to rest it for the big one against the Geordies

As someone else has already pointed out, he brings a lot more to the team than goals. His tireless effort for the team is a shinning example to every aspiring player, this allied with natural pace make him a huge asset to our team. I've backed him all the time, even when he hasn't scored he always gives so much. Wouldn't sell him. Ever.

Just as I said back in January somewhere - if we're playing West Brom in a vital game near the bottom who would you rather he's playing for?

I think we have our answer.
