Lesalanos Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Delilah started in the early 80's on a day like today. The police came into the pub and asked the Stoke fans if they could sing something clean. A Stoke fan known as TJ put Deliah on the jukebox and started a sing song. It took off away initially and spread. Our version you may note is not that clean though
johnny the fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Unbelievable that the next season thread was deleted. Surely nobody who was there today thinks we will stay up? We need a miracle. whats your opinion on the season after next?
Raj Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Unbelievable that the next season thread was deleted. Surely nobody who was there today thinks we will stay up? We need a miracle. we ain't 10 points adrift are we?No one has stuffed us? There's gonna be battle all the way til the end, lets see what our fookers are made of. Dont fooking give up yet pal...anything can happen...yeah its gonna be tough...you never know though...COYB
ealingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Its January. Lets worry about this season. A keen observation. Yes it is January, well done. I have an equally keen observation. In our next six games we play Arsenal away, City away, Man United away, Everton away, and Chelsea. The other one is Palace at home, Palace who now have the best English manager in the game. We couldn't beat Burnley, West Brom, Sunderland, Stoke or Everton at home. We will be relegated. You were calling for Pearson's head not too long ago, and now you think he can keep us up from this position? Tell me how that works. He needs more than one go to become a PL manager. That really is fair enough and I have come to terms with it. He is, regardless, a good manager of a football Club, and I sincerely hope he is still with LCFC for his next crack at the PL.
BigMicky Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Far from punching above our weight, we're owned by the Coates family who are proper fans with local connections and employ local people, there's something to say in that. Watch this space for the names we'll be attracting, in Hughes we have a manager who knows the game inside out with outstanding connections to massive European clubs, for example Bojan cost us less than €1,000,000 Yep he bought Jo for man city for £17 million. Class manager.
Monsell1976 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Wasilewski's foul on Begovic was ridiculous. On a yellow card and decides to clatter the keeper nowhere near the ball. Could've been another yellow, could've even been a red and we lose our best defender for at least a game. We got away with that today. Think big was has been brilliant of late, but a poor decision to clatter the keeper, and a poor decision from the management not to take him off, like you say we got away with it today, I did think he would be sent off before the final whistle today.
ealingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 you're literally the worst troll on here. i sometimes enjoy trolls, they bring something different, ruffle a few feathers and are often quite clever. you're just a ****. Who's trolling?

Unless you have a crystal ball amongst your steaming piles of bullshit, you don't know what will happen in the next 6 games, or the rest of the season. Im not writing us off until its mathematically impossible. I don't know if Pearson is the man for the job, some of his decisions are ridiculous. As long as we stay up, I don't care whos in charge.

Ah, so no coherent or incisive counter-argument or even heartening encouragement. Just personal abuse, and ambiguous support for the current regime. Splendid.

Larry_LCFC Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Ah, so no coherent or incisive counter-argument or even heartening encouragement. Just personal abuse, and ambiguous support for the current regime. Splendid. I don't know what you want me to say. I don't particularly rate Pearson. I think some of his starting line-ups are ridiculous, his substitutions are questionable and his arrogance infuriating. But ultimately, if the owners are determined to stick with him then there is not a lot we can do, other than get behind the team. Im not convinced he can save us now, but things are still close, and Leicester are unpredictable. I certainly wont be writing us off though in January, its pathetic.
ealingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 bellend Mate, that is not what I want you to think. I'm not being abusive or offensive (unlike you), and I'm not trying to wind you or anyone else up. I am just at peace with the fact that things have gone wrong and mistakes have been made this season, and we are going to pay the price. Anyone before the season started would or should have conceded that it might take more than one attempt to establish us in the PL. I'm not pointing fingers, I'm not jumping on bandwagons. I want Pearson at our Club for the foreseeable whatever happens.

ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 you are definitely a bellend if you are already thinking about next season when we are a win away from being safe, whether you want to try and justify it or not, mate.
Jolly Potter Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Yep he bought Jo for man city for £17 million. Class manager. Pathetic really mate, Look at Kompany.... Man City are massive financialy and the 17 million you refer to is peanuts to them, without going into exact detail I'd be quite confident in saying that since hughes has been at stoke, two seasonsseasons, he's spent less than 6-7 million but as ive said watch this space with what we're planning.
Landsend Fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 How the hell have you got that from those comments? The message in that is just "we didn't perform today", not "I'm a rubbish manager". I get the impression you're looking for a stick to beat him with, because you're a short sighted moron. Well you're the loud mouthed ace hole Doc? I don't think anyone is interested in your bile... Yes Pearson is a rubbish manager way out of his depth.. That will be proven at the end of the season... But then you're too thick to see common sense!!! Sometimes peoples opinions are so stupid, it's enough to say that their opinions are ridiculous. Yours is. Hammond isn't better than James, him and Drinkwater are on a par, arguably James has been the better performer this season. The only one I'd say is definitely better than James is Esteban, and he's just a different gravy.
ealingfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 you are definitely a bellend if you are already thinking about next season when we are a win away from being safe, whether you want to try and justify it or not, mate. It's not a win away from being safe though, it's an extra win away from being safe. Everyone else plays when we do.

And what has that 6/7 million brought you. You scraped past a very poor Leicester team today, you are a team of effort and endeavour with a touch of class in Bojan (who will be off if he continues in the same vain) Hughes is living of the "good" work Pulis did and will be found out soon enough as he has everywhere else. Don't get above your station, we know what you are.
Maybes Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Jolly Potter. 'I'm a better person than you' Clearly riled you with my comments. Gave credit where it was due but you seem to have ignored that. Your fans singing 'pride of the midlands' and 'Leicester's a sh!thole' raised a smile. The drug trade in Stoke is clearly going strong.

Guest Col city fan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 No. Worst midfielder we have. I hope you are joking? James is our best midfielder.
The Doctor Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Well you're the loud mouthed ace hole Doc? I don't think anyone is interested in your bile... Yes Pearson is a rubbish manager way out of his depth.. That will be proven at the end of the season... But then you're too thick to see common sense!!! Was he well out of his depth in the first 5 games, was he well out of his depth between Hull and Villa? Today was one poor performance, but our performances in general have deserved better than our current position - look at Spurs and Man City last month - it's no stretch to say we deserved 4 points from those two games... No, I'm just not a reactionary moron - Pearson has improved us season after season, and we've been picking up again the past month. One poor performance doesn't cancel all that out.
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 you are definitely a bellend if you are already thinking about next season when we are a win away from being safe, whether you want to try and justify it or not, mate. I do agree. Bad result today, but all the other sides lost too. No change then.
ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 I do agree. Bad result today, but all the other sides lost too. No change then. yep, great day for palace, only winners down there. think i saw someone say that on the "in play" table burnley were 12th at half time, 17th at full time! it's tight, giving up now is ridiculous. knocky finishes his half chance today and we're 17th, are people like ealingfox planning who'll leave when we're relegated then? doubt it. we've got some tough fixtures coming up, but so have everyone else. if we're still within any slight touch of safety after our next 6-8 games we've got the run in everyone is jealous of. draw a line through today, disappointing after building momentum over the last two weeks, "missed opportunity" as nige says, but still all to play for.
