Thought schllup played brilliant first half then obviously they had a word in the second half.

Vardy n Drinky are badly struggling in this league and nugent if he's here as a striker -well it just ain't happening is it??!

Poor performances by too many players today. King was predictable, negative and off the pace and we really missed the drive of James. Drinkwater tried but looked semi injured most of the game and didn't really get any help in midfield. I thought Simpson disappointed after a good start. Didn't offer much in the way of attacking support to knocky who helped him the other way and his use of the ball wasn't great. Hamer's kicking was amateurish. Our centre halves got owned by Walters. Bojan looked a class apart from our team and was available in space to take the ball off Nzonzi and whelan whenever they got it. Nuge and Vardy haven't yet stepped up and ulloa didn't win anything in the air when he came on. Knocky worked his socks off and Schlupp had a great first half but faded badly in the 2nd. A flat performance, not helped by a lack of any alternate options in centre midfield.

No Tactics

No Endeavor

No Commitment

No Control of midfield

No Attacking threat for most of the game

No Width

No Strength in the challenges made

No Anticipation or reading of the game

No Tempo

All adds up to no points.

After the encouraging matches of late this was back to what we do best. Play completely crap for 75 mins and well for the other 15.

This is exactly the type of performance that will will see us relegated.

Stoke are exactly he sort of team newly promoted sides need to emulate. They weren't great but they were far better than us in every single position on the pitch. They carried all the threats and thoroughly deserved to win. We may have had some injuries but so did they.

Yet again we offered next to nothing in their penalty area. I've a lot of respect for Vardy and what he's achieved but he simply isn't good enough at this level. Not only was he poor in quality but he didn't even close down effectively. His first touch is abysmal and he doesn't have enough pace to trouble quality defenders.

The midfield has needed a greater physical prescence for some years and we have not addressed this. Today we were overrun in that area. King was truly awful. Quite one of the most disheartening midfield performances I've seen at this level. Drinkwater was little better and was too slow and ponderous on the ball.

Schlupp did have a good 5 or 10 minutes but was largely poor. Knockaert worked hard but his set pieces with one or two exceptions were really not good enough.

Yet again we failed to score from a corner and never looked like we would.

The defence was all over the place and just can' cope with any sort of intelligent movement or tricky speedy players. De Laet has to be a better option at right back and we need a left back signed as a matter of urgency.

Normally I can take some positives from a defeat but not today. A very bad day indeed in a game we really needed to win.

All fans have them I'm afraid but so do the likes of Birmingham, Leeds and Wolves, you can see where I'm going with this I trust.

I'm not talking about some I'm talking about the whole away support who were too busy mocking Leicester instead of supporting their team. You, however seem okay so I apologise if I came across as rude or anything. Well done on the three points today, even if the match was decided on the fact that we were worse then you as opposed to you being better.

I suggest we sign a new CM which I've been saying for about 6 months.

These signings should have been lined up in December ready to get over the line EARLY, not 3 weeks into the window.

James isn't good enough,

Drinkwater is OK

Hammond is OK at what he does

King is OK

but unless both players in that position have a good game, we lose...

We need a CM and desperately.

You've got James and king mixed up mate. King offered absolutely nothing today. He went for the obvious pass every time, usually backwards, and neither did the Hammond enforcing job or the positive James attacking play.

agree with all you said except I thought ulloa didn't put a foot wrong when he came on including aerial battles

Why do people talk about Stoke like they're Burnley, Hull or QPR? They're an established side at this level. They never look like being relegated. We haven't just lost to an absolutely pits side, we've lost to not a bad one.

Their fans are still a gang of mutants as far as I'm concerned but so many on here under-estimate Stoke in general. They aren't as shit as their name suggests.

Spot on post, Stoke were a tough proposition today.

King and Drinkwater awful, got dicked on by Nzonzi.

Konchesky, please fvck off. Awful distribution every time.

Simpson's distribution was worse than konch's today.

Interesting Post Match Comments from Pearson -

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson: "I am disappointed because of how other results have gone. It is a missed opportunity for us. The only piece of quality on the day won the game. (Presumably from Stoke)!!

"Stoke have Premier League know-how, there is no doubt about that. They are a big, powerful side, and we didn't find our own performance levels."

On record signing Kramaric: "It is always difficult for players to make an impact when the side is not quite at its best, as was the case with us second half. But if he gets his chances he will put them away." (All depends if you give the guy a chance by giving him a full 90 minutes Nigel???)

Is this an admission now from Pearson that he doesn't or hasn't put together a Quality side???

lol!!!!

As soon as i heard nugent n vardy were starting i thought we were in shit!!!

Combined 3 goals so far this season!!!

However the first half wrong did ok,knocky should have done better with i think our one and only clear cut chance.

Dont know that happened 2nd half but everything was flat, including the crowd.

Normally cat fault our effort but that 45mins was crap and low key.

Its no use having 16odd million pounds of strikers if you can't get them the ball...

We should learn from stoke how to win ugly...very ugly!!!

So which of our midfielders are worse than james?

Cambiasso? no.

Drinkwater? no. (He's a better player once he gets his form back)

Hammond? He's proven he's better this season at this level.

King? The only midfielder we have that is naturally more attacking.

Bar king the other 3 midfielders do the same job as james and do it better.

Work it out

Ulloa didn't offer any more of a threat when he came on than nuge or Vardy had and their centre halves and Nzonzi continued to dominate aerially for me.

He's not good enough for that job... his positive attacking play ends in disappointment 95% of the time, whether it's a stray pass, or a poor shot, or disgraceful free kick or cross...

King was poor today, but hes better than James in an attacking sense.  We need to sign a box to box midfielder, someone along the lines of sessegnon when he first came to england, an attacking midfielder who can drop back and battle physically. King can attack but cant defend, James can't do either.

When was the last time you watched king? He hasn't been an attacking threat for about 5 years. At one point he was a clinical finisher and not much else. He's lost that goalscoring and without that I'm not sure what he offers. We missed James today.

Boring game totally lacking any energy. I didn't realise the game had started for the first 20 minutes looking like both teams were still going through their warm up procedures.

It looked like an end of season game where both teams have nothing to play for.

Where was the fire in the belly, the get up and go at them, the determination to win at all costs.

It was game waiting to be won by any team that could be arsed.

Unfortunately we weren't interested.

1.  Firstly our midfield were poor today.  We got out muscled and never had control of it in there and missed James and in particular Hammond.  Drinky and King were poor.

2.  I was impressed with how Stoke managed the game after they scored and impressed in particular with the quality of Moses and Bojan. There was little in it first half but we need to start converting our chances (Knockaert's effort in the first half spring to mind).

3. Fine fine margins again, and in tight games like today, you need a bit a magic to sneak 3 points instead of 0-0 draw.  Unfortunately they provided that magic with a good finish from a good player.

4.  Learn from it and move on to the next one now.

Very poor today. Subdued. Stoke are a very good side - did we think we just needed to turn up?

Schlupp aside I thought we posed them minimal threat. Plenty of triers but a mid table prem side never got out of 3rd gear and beat us comfortably.

Our approach after they scored was worrying.

The abuse towards Hamer and his reacting to it was also a real low point.

Bad day. Many more of them and even miracles can't save us.

Unfortunately we weren't intereste

I think we were content to let them have it and hit them on the brake.  We identified Bardsley as being their weak link and tried to expose him with Schlupps pace.  This worked to some extent and we should have scored when Schlupp cut it back for Anthony.  But apart from that, chances were few and far between.

The worst worst thing about losing today is that we have absolutely no 3rd party reason to blame it on. At least we can usually slate the ref, a linesman, and oppo player cheating.    :)

Just a bad day at the office. we need to put it behind us and move on now.

Worst thing about today that any result for us would have been a bonus as opposed to last week all around us lost too.

Boy do we do it the hard way.

Raj last time we communicated on here I vowed to ignore you, the reason?

You come on here daily, telling everyone they "talk shit" and that they are wrong, and you are right...

Yet you never give any sort of detailed reasoning, or constructive criticism.

Today I gave you an opportunity to change your ways, and prove to me you actually have a clue. Unfortunately you struck again.

As stated in our last encounter, I'm all for people having an opinion, and i respect we don't have to agree, but I would expect you to atleast give reasoning when accusing people of talking "shit"

Goodbye.
