johnny the fox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Fvck. This didn't look good today. This was a game that had to be won. Or, at least, not lost. If you want to stay up you need to buy a good midfielder and both full backs. None of your midfielders are on a Premier League level. Cambiasso is ok, he's got the experience and the winners spirt you need, but you need a man with an idea next to him. Drinkwater, James, Ing, Hammond... all good back up and rotation players, but nothing more then that. An above average plaer, N'Zonzi, look like Xavi today. You need a match winners. The full backs are poor. You really need two players that can play in both directions. The rest of the squad is ok. Your CBs and wingers are good. Ulloa is a good target man. Hamer is a solid goalie, Nugent is ok. Vardy I don't really like. He has pace and that's about it. How come you can see it and the boss can't..
Lesalanos Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 MHC, Let's get this right, you wanted to attack the Stoke fans! Hardly makes you any better does it. I'm a Stoke fan who had a nice drink with a few of my Leicester BS mates before and after the game. They seemed to have a more balanced view than you. A few points to pick up on. Yes we were singing going down, (really liked the so are we chant) and the usual sh@@ ground no fans. That said we sang our full rendition, clearly you have selective hearing. I recall, ole,ole Bojan, here's to you asmir, whealan, super johny, victor he's a winger, we'll be with you, oh when the reds and the odd Delilah. We may have a lot of numpties, and I'm sure you'd fit in. But to say we didn't back the team, you're talking crap. As for beating average teams, making us look like barca etc. do some research. Muniesa, and arnoutivic on the bench in two champions league finals. Bojan played in one sub in one. The reality is that we have quality in every position, our third choice defence was to good. No shawcross or Pieters. As for the, we should be beating teams like Stoke. This is a Stoke team who are firmly established, we've beaten spurs and man city away. I apologise for the numpties who follow us, but let's get it right, read your own board. After you beat us and united you were world beaters, tonight it's Pearson out. Before criticising others have a look closer to home. If you keep the faith you'll stay up, but you've got to give the team a lift. Today the fans more than the players thought all they had to do was turn up. Stoke fans turned up, the players turned up and did enough.
Raj Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 -tripe he's gotta be a manager in disguise...Im going for jean tigana !!! We were linked to jean many years ago!!!!!
harpendenfox Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 To think there were only four points between Villa and Stoke this morning. The difference was immense

It is remarkable that Tripe can see all this after watching a few games and yet some hardcore posters on here will defend every player, every performance and Nigel Pearson out of blind loyalty without showing any knowledge of what is happening on the pitch.
woznotwos Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Did we miss James in midfield ? I thought we would when he got his red. Just got in from work now so not had chance to read everything yet

The Doctor Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Interesting Post Match Comments from Pearson - Leicester boss Nigel Pearson: "I am disappointed because of how other results have gone. It is a missed opportunity for us. The only piece of quality on the day won the game. (Presumably from Stoke)!! "Stoke have Premier League know-how, there is no doubt about that. They are a big, powerful side, and we didn't find our own performance levels." On record signing Kramaric: "It is always difficult for players to make an impact when the side is not quite at its best, as was the case with us second half. But if he gets his chances he will put them away." (All depends if you give the guy a chance by giving him a full 90 minutes Nigel???) Is this an admission now from Pearson that he doesn't or hasn't put together a Quality side??? How the hell have you got that from those comments? The message in that is just "we didn't perform today", not "I'm a rubbish manager". I get the impression you're looking for a stick to beat him with, because you're a short sighted moron. Don't get involved then if you cannot back up your opinion or engage in a simple debate. simple. Please see my comment to raj above. Sometimes peoples opinions are so stupid, it's enough to say that their opinions are ridiculous. Yours is. Hammond isn't better than James, him and Drinkwater are on a par, arguably James has been the better performer this season. The only one I'd say is definitely better than James is Esteban, and he's just a different gravy.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Well another missed opportunity, Stoke were there for the taking i believe. First half we looked quite decent and created a few good chances plus we managed to close down any attacking threat from Stoke. Second half was a much different story, it looked like we never came out of the dressing room. Stoke did improve in the second defensively but they never really created much to actually win the game, but I suppose that's the common premier league way of winning I'm afraid, you take your chances. The substitutions that Pearson made didn't help the game in fact we looked even poorer after that, to be honest looking back today's tactics looked pretty weak not starting Albrighton despite being Man Of The Match last week makes no sense at all, Vardy is a hard worker but as some have mentioned the partnership between him and Nugent has only created three goals. To be honest the new croatian lad if he wasn't fit enough to start then he wasn't fit enough at all. Schlupp but in a good shift first half, but never really worked for him second, but he was probably the only person I could name close enough to a man of the match. On another subject any news on the fan who suffered a heart attack in the concourse of the kop during the first half?
woznotwos Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Yeah just reading the comments. No Match Of The Day for me then.
Monsell1976 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Off subject a bit, who is the new drummer in l1, gives me a headache, plays the drum to loud and to long, drummer can help get songs going but not bang all the time.
narboroughblue Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Bullied all round the park by a side who have been in this league for a good few seasons now and know what it takes. Injuries and suspensions killed us in midfield and no cutting edge. Bojan a class ahead of anyone else and deservedly won the game for Stoke even if he did go down too easy. Kramaric could learn from watching his performance as looking at him he is that type of player.
Monsell1976 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Yeah just reading the comments. No Match Of The Day for me then.Wozzer, the midfield was shocking today mate
Raj Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Yeah just reading the comments. No Match Of The Day for me then.i wouldn't bother mate
Corky Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Very poor performance, totally one-dimensional and completely lacking in authority and tempo. We were ponderous on the ball and almost scared of them when they had it. The amount of times we lost out in a 50/50, or they managed to get free with two or three players around them was awful. Bojan was fantastic, but N'Zonzi had far too much influence over our midfield, we missed Matty James so badly today, both as a driving force and as a breaker up of play. Last week was good, today was bad. No escaping that and a real dent to the progress we've been making. However, Stoke are no mugs and looked a far better and classier side than under Pulis. Hughes has done really well there.

Monsell1976 Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 isn't jobber well then?Don't know mate, from where I stand can't see what he looks like and it wasn't jobber, but he knocks **** out of that drum, like he's in a army marching band.
Jolly Potter Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 Second best all over the park. Stoke deserved their win. As much as I despise everything about their disgusting club, they were vocally the best set we've had at the KP this season. Disgusting club?? We took the three points, oh yes and we relegated you. The sooner you crawl back to the Championship and the inevatble dropping like a lead balloon the better. Disgusting is a strong word to use, but oh well I'm a better person than you.

SecretPro Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 The number one reason why Leicester are bottom of the league = we cannot keep the ball for shit. We must give away possession more than any other club in this league. Today we barely put a string of three passes together, it was very very very embarassing.

Callabinho Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 In a nutshell, today we were a bag of stale wank. However I'd rather be a stale bag of wank, than go back to the dull city (if you can call it a city..) of Stoke, what is it you have there? Water world and a Tesco? Talk about pot to piss in, or has that got a hole in it too?

Today we barely put a string of three passes together, it was very very very embarassing.Exactly the reason, when we get the ball we have no movement, and the player who's got the ball acts like their holding a hot potato, and panic's and aimlessly giving the ball away.We are getting relegated due to the lack of quality and composure in all area's, we are what we are, a championship quality side.
Tuna Posted 17 January 2015 Posted 17 January 2015 We are being relegated because of Pearson, his mistakes before the season and his mistakes during the season.
