At Derby station with 300 Stoke fans, we lost yes but some of the Stoke fan's racist chanting is a total disgrace, I had to explain to my 10 year son that morons do exist on our planet, where do these idiots come from? Scum of the Earth!

So which of our midfielders are worse than james?

Cambiasso? no.

Drinkwater? no. (He's a better player once he gets his form back)

Hammond? He's proven he's better this season at this level.

King? The only midfielder we have that is naturally more attacking.

Bar king the other 3 midfielders do the same job as james and do it better.

Work it out

You very stupid.

For the record James is as influential at the moment imho as Camb .

Harmmond has been exceptional in the step up to this League. He's solid and mops up the crap but doesn't do anything sparkling hence doesn't get the credit he deserves.

King was great for us a few years ago when he attacked and scored goals-now he doesn't add that extra edge.

Drinky is a shadow of last seasons player.

So anyone who says James is our worst midfielder is very idiot.

James Atleast tries and attacks, had a go and doesn't drift when the going gets tough....even though he fooks up and gives free kicks way ala Burnley!!! lol!!!

No penetration or drive, dreadful display, even the happy clappers didn't clap at the end. Yet another 'nothing special' team comes and takes home the points.

I think today proves we really haven't turned a corner. In actual fact, we masked over the canyons with a few lucky results and suddenly were heading for Champions League football. In reality, we have a team where the majority aren't premier league standard and we are going to struggle to survive. The decent players we do have seem to get left out the team. I will never understand Pearson's team selections. They are ridiculous.

All over the pitch we were second best. I'd almost call it cowardly, no one showed for the ball, no one offered their team mate an option and no one organised. The amount of soft, lazy passes was embarrassing. We made Nzonzi look like Viera in his pomp.

Looking forward to hearing what you think was lucky about the spurs, Liverpool and villa games.

We still have the problem that we've had the past two years - we don't have enough physical presence in the middle of the pitch. N'Zonzi absolutely ran the show for them today. We certainly missed James and Hammond today, but I think even they would have struggled against him. He won everything in the air and every second ball. We need a 6'4" ballwinner in the squad as an option in my opinion for games against teams like Stoke. Feels like a Groundhog Day argument, only Stoke are the new Millwall from the past few seasons.

Bojan looked like a budget David Silva behind the front man - very impressive. Moses raped Simpson all day - never rated him but he was dangerous today. Walters bullied Morgan like I haven't seen before. Arnautovic had Konch on the floor and in the air - a bit of composure and he'd have scored.

The rest of their team were pretty average, but they didn't have any passengers. We on the other hand had too many players who were simply not good enough today.

A win today would've put us 16th.

Now we've got to get points against much better teams over the next few games to make up for it.

Vardy and King had poor games today.

Missed James/EC/Hammond dearly today have to say king and DD are our weakest pairing Haf real high hopes for DD at the start of the season, a shame really.

What has the spurs game got to do with anything?

Posted

Hamer - poor. One cracking save from Nzonzi but let us down with his kicking. Made us wasteful in possession and didn't spot easier options when they presented themselves.

Defence - Average. Need to watch their goal back again but there were too many times their players could have been closed down but it was just a touch of quality from Bojan to get it in from there. Wasilewski could have been sent off and was probably lucky not to, really. Marriner has no bollocks so wasn't gonna happen. Lot of aimless balls up top though which their defence was going to deal with constantly.

Midfield - totally dominated. Never had control of the game and struggled to provide service to the forwards. Not sure why Albrighton wasn't featuring today after decent performances vs Newcastle and Villa. Lawrence was ineffective when coming on and I know they were our only central midfield options but King and Drinkwater don't work together. Schlupp only performed in patches - a couple of decent runs and a good cross for Knocky but other than that nothing doing for him. Maybe he wasn't fully fit but could have done better.

Strikers - Nugent and Vardy couldn't get involved as much as desired. Didn't see much of the ball and I don't think Vardy should be starting matches. Top 3 preference is Ulloa, Kramaric then Nugent. I've stuck by Vardy this season and will continue to do so when he plays, but he really shouldn't be starting ahead of our top scorer.

Well... what can be said about today?

It is absolutely astonishing that we can play how we did last week against Villa and yet this week, we looked as if none of our squad had ever played together again. Hamer's save in the second half was first class but his distribution throughout the entire game was diabolical. Our defence is still as leaky as a paper bag. No leadership was present on the pitch. Why he started with Nuge and Vardy up front is beyond me and as for Mark Albrighton not even getting onto the pitch?!?

If the FA gave out a seasonal award for inconsistency - we'd always win it (or least get to the nomination phase!) Back to square one...

Fvck. This didn't look good today. This was a game that had to be won. Or, at least, not lost.

If you want to stay up you need to buy a good midfielder and both full backs. None of your midfielders are on a Premier League level. Cambiasso is ok, he's got the experience and the winners spirt you need, but you need a man with an idea next to him. Drinkwater, James, King, Hammond... all good back up and rotation players, but nothing more then that. An above average player, N'Zonzi, looked like Xavi today. You need a match winners. The full backs are poor. You really need two players that can play in both directions.

The rest of the squad is ok. Your CBs and wingers are good. Ulloa is a good target man. Hamer is a solid goalie, Nugent is ok. Vardy I don't really like. He has pace and that's about it.

We weren't "lucky" against spurs 2 days before this "lucky" run started.

I think Tripe needs to be our next manager. He knows his stuff.

I can offer you £950,000 per year and a fancy car. Please bring a left back, a tall centre back and a visionary midfielder with you (budget of £15 million ok with you?)

What's your actual job over there Mr Tripe?
