Raj Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Dont.give 2 fook where other teams were last year or last decade. We are bottom, got some bloody hard games coming up and there's realistically no reason to be optimistic about staying up!!!! BUT its a funny old game!!!. Keep the faith.....
MGLCFC Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Turn that in too pessimism you moaning so and so's Surely optimism

Thank God we have Villa, Hull and QPR all struggling... Two of which we have to play at the KP!!
Raj Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 As long as we are in the mix come season end we are in the race...just hope these next few hard games Dont kill us. Still hope the qpr game has alot riding on it for us!
Benguin Posted 18 January 2015 Author Posted 18 January 2015 Would love it if we had to either beat QPR draw against them or lose by less than a goal. What a game that would be
Raj Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Would love it if we had to either beat QPR draw against them or lose by less than a goal. What a game that would beDont think many of us over 40's could take the tension!!!
Fox92 Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Dont think many of us over 40's could take the tension!!! Don't think many of us under 40's could either!
JonnyBoy Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Thank God we have Villa, Hull and QPR all struggling... Two of which we have to play at the KP!! Worried about qpr's home form. Gonna be a dog fight till the end
JonnyBoy Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Would love it if we had to either beat QPR draw against them or lose by less than a goal. What a game that would be Pearson would end up playing knockaert at the back or something odd. Adam smith in goal
StanSP Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Worried about qpr's home form. Gonna be a dog fight till the end I wouldn't be. I think the rest of their home matches are against top-half teams. Gonna be a big challenge for them especially if they don't get their away form sorted.
Leeds Fox Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 Would love it if we had to either beat QPR draw against them or lose by less than a goal. What a game that would be Lose by less than a goal?! Am I missing something here?
Benguin Posted 18 January 2015 Author Posted 18 January 2015 Lose by less than a goal?! Am I missing something here? Goal difference: I.E - 17th Leicester PL 37 GD -4 PTS 37 18th Aston Villa PL 38 GD -6 PTS 37 19th Hull PL 38 GD -12 PTS 35 20th QPR PL 37 GD -593 PTS 32 Aston Villa finish in relegation as long as we don't lose 2-0 3-1 4-2 5-3 etc etc Edit - Just realised I said 1 goal, meant two. You cant lose by less than a goal. Edit Edit - And tbh I'd rather just win safety long before this game
shailen Posted 18 January 2015 Posted 18 January 2015 look guys, there are 16 games to go. All of the teams have to more or less play the same teams regardless of what order. So we are all facing the same challenge. Yes we are the ones playing catch up, but I've seen enough from us this season to justify we can stay up. The teams at the bottom are poorer than previous years so I think 35 points may be enough to survive. That's 18 points from 16 games. The problem this season is that we haven't been as intelligent as other teams around us. All the other teams are hard to beat and play an ugly style of play. We are trying to play an attacking style of play, which to be fair is quite magnificent at times, however we leave ourselves vulnerable at the back. No other team does this imo around us, in fact they're more solid and try to break on the opposition. I've heard a lot about the fact that our defenders are not good enough which is rubbish imo. These players individually are possibly the best defence in the relegation battle, bar Konchesky. As a team we are not defensive solid because of the style of play. We want to be on the front foot all the time like in the championship The question becomes do we adapt to become an ugly team or do what we are doing and try to play good football
lgfualol Posted 19 January 2015 Posted 19 January 2015 If we win all our games from now to QPR, and Chelsea only pick up 12 points from their next 16 games. We could finish above Chelsea & that means we win the league.
