Unabomber Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 We all must surely agree Schlupp has improved massively this season. Who's to say he won't be better at left back than he Was last season? I wouldn't mind seeing him there. Anyone but Konchesky or right footed de Laet What if he hasn't improved at lb and we play him there and he makes mistake after mistake? This isn't a training game.
filbertway Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 What if he hasn't improved at lb and we play him there and he makes mistake after mistake? This isn't a training game. If Nigel tells him it's a training game before, he will be more relaxed though. So Nige, if you are reading. Tell him it's a training game if Jeff's getting the nod ahead of Chilwell.
Dickov22 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 What if he hasn't improved at lb and we play him there and he makes mistake after mistake? This isn't a training game. Can he really make more mistakes than Konchesky does? Doubt it
Unabomber Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Can he really make more mistakes than Konchesky does? Doubt it Yeah easy.
cc_star Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Can he really make more mistakes than Konchesky does? Doubt it How many has Konchesky made by your count? I'm struggling, beyond the obvious one. In fact, in comparison to many he's fulfilling his role for the team ok. And I'm not a fan of his
Fox92 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Schlupp always offers that defensive cover. If a team's strength is their wingers, particularly right midfield, then Schlupp in front of Konchesky is the option. Schlupp has improved recently so he has to start for me. He actually looks dangerous when he uses his pace and runs at defenders. Even Manchester United didn't look comfortable with it on Saturday.

harpendenfox Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 KONCHWATCH: Newcastle away. Awful back pass that should have been a goal right at the start of the second half if memory serves

dpjfox Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 imo albrighton and schlupp are our best wide players id play Mahrez in a central position to link and provide through balls to the striker/strikers
Dan Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I wouldn't be completely against Schlupp playing left back for the simple reason that our options there aren't good enough anyway. I've given up on Konchesky. Not a terrible defender but he's a terrible footballer at this level. Amazes me we didn't sign a left back in either the summer or January. Absolutely staggering.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I voted no but I can't justify why. I'm just glad it's not my decision. This game is what it's all about, it is huuugggeee!!! Come on Leicester! Let's claw ourselves back up that table.
Bugg Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I'd play Hamer Simpson Wasyl Huth RDL Cambiasso James Hammond Albrighton Mahrez Schlupp Ulloa Kramaric I'd play 12 players too. Edit - I just realised i can't count either
Stadt Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 I'd play 12 players too. Edit - I just realised i can't count either
maxwelld_ Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Schlupp left back, Mahrez left wing, Albrighton right wing. Pace, flair and technique. Exactly this ! Jeff is a quality LB and would work well with mark
inckley fox Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 What if he hasn't improved at lb and we play him there and he makes mistake after mistake? This isn't a training game. I keep referring back to these average ratings people post after games, but it seems Schlupp was our 'man of the match' in the one game he did play at left back. In fact, every time he's picked there we have plenty of people saying how much of a disaster he is in defence, and it frequently ends up with him putting in a steady performance. He was our left back for most of our record-breaking run during last season too.
eunmac Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Completely agree Schlupp LB. Simpson on other side. Riyad | Camb | MattyJ | Albrighton in MF Whilst NP likely to opt for Leo in this kind of setup I'd prefer to see what Nuge and Kramaric can do together with AK playing target.

Nick Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Mahrez on the left, Albrighton on the right. Give Schlupp 25 minutes in the second half and switch the wingers over. Konch at LB - Jeff's positional sense isn't strong enough yet and we don't have a left winger defensively minded enough to provide cover or track back on the overlap.
muzzy1981 Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 If Albrighton on plays then Ulloa need to IMO, not utilised Ulloa noggin enough this season. Scored a large part of his goals that way, that's not to say play hoof ball because from midfield he like ball to feet.
