Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 'Biggest fight in history' officially confirmed for May 2nd. What do we all think? Mayweather on points the obvious call? The bookies agree, 10/11. Probably won't live up to the billing but one of the few fights I'd be happy to pay to watch.
Bettsj2 Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Pacquiao in 8. YYYEEEEEAAAHHH!! Fight wont happen. Something will fvck it.
Guest Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Powers that be in boxing been after Mayweather for a while. 1 judge scoring bouts v each of Alvarez and Maidana Part I as a draw. Pacman will be quick enough and active enough to win a few rounds and make it competitive and I reckon will get it on the cards cue a load of argument over decision and a mega money rematch. Public lose out again but the fat cats cash in. Mayweather rights the wrongs of the first fight and edges the second and hey ho it's 1-1 let's make it a trilogy $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Far fetched guess.
foxfanazer Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Got to be worth a watch! Would love Manny to win!
Soar Fox Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 I'm out in Vegas from the 12th May aswell gutted that I'm not there for the fight.
leicsmac Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Five years ago this would have been a true sporting spectacle for the ages. Now it's merely quite an interesting event among others. Definitely going to be watching, though.
ScouseFox Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 still 3 months for one of them to start crying and cancel it
Tielemans63 Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Got to agree with Leicsmac, the fight is at least 3 or 4 years too late. It will be the fight of the century but it would have been even better before Pac man lost to Bradley and Marquez. Mayweather in the 10th I reckon.
ScouseFox Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 oh and presuming it does happen mayweather will win, and i hope he does
Matt Posted 21 February 2015 Posted 21 February 2015 Excited but that is tarnished a little bit in the fact it should have happened years ago.
BoneDog Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Don't really fancy paying for it as it most likely won't be the spectacle it once would have been, but no doubt will not be able to resist paying when the time comes. Hopefully don't feel cheated out of some gold afterwards.

Guest MattP Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 Echo everyone else's thoughts. 5 years too late. Mayweather decision looks good obvious call.
Bettsj2 Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 First fight - Manny split decision. Mayweather unhappy. Second fight - Mayweather split decision. Third fight.......
AKCJ Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 Hoping Manny wins. Five years ago this would have been a true sporting spectacle for the ages. Now it's merely quite an interesting event among others.Definitely going to be watching, though. This is what I think too. Would have been up there with Ali vs Frazier in terms of hype.
lestajigs Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 Got nothing against mayweather but, Hope pacquiao wins, I very much doubt he will though, maybe 3 year ago he would of! Mayweather points
AndWhat? Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Does anyone know what time the fight will be starting? I'm in Vancouver till 9pm their time and was wondering if I'll be able to watch it.
Detroit Blues Posted 13 March 2015 Posted 13 March 2015 Does anyone know what time the fight will be starting? I'm in Vancouver till 9pm their time and was wondering if I'll be able to watch it. Well, Vancouver/Las Vegas are on pacific time (which is 3 hours ahead of east coast). So i would assume it would start no later than 7pm PST (10pm EST).

So i would assume it would start no later than 7pm PST (10pm EST). So the actual fight will start in Vegas at about 7pm then? Seems a bit early! Not that i'm complaining, get to watch it in the Casino over the road from the airport now!

Well the fight time hasnt been announced yet, but I'd assume it would be around that time, if not earlier than that if they want east coast viewers. Also, it will likely be on PPV. So you'll need to either order it, or goto a bar that's showing it.
Guest Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 SKY Box office win rights to screen the fight. Costs £19.95 if ordered before Fri May 1st midnight then £24.95 thereafter.

Guest MattP Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Cheaper than I expected. Unreal Sky are back in the fold after turning their backs on both of them.
ealingfox Posted 24 March 2015 Posted 24 March 2015 Assuming its going to be on at 4 or 5 in the morning here, where will anyone without $ky be able to see it? They wouldn't let pubs and bars stay open til then would they?
