anstey blueboy Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 As the season draws to a close , as Leicester City fans where would we sooner be, in the Championship in the promotion battle, or in the Premiership in a relegation scrap???
Monsell1976 Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Competent in the premier league, if anyone thinks the club can survive in the championship financially is mistaken. Even though compliant to ffp, we still made big loses. All this aside, if we had a good enough manager and side to stay up, or at least look like they could stay up, I would still take premier league. If we could establish ourselfs like the Stoke's etc, stay up comfortable, and challenge for cups, like the Oneill days, every Leicester fan should want that, because a club our size, that's as good as it gets.
MooseBreath Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 I'd love us to be in an actual relegation scrap. It's being dead and buried that's the worst.
Bayfox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 right now i'd take the l1 promotion. match tickets alone for man city, liverpool, utd and chelski have cost half as much again as my season ticket. until there is a reality check when it comes to away prices, the novelty of the top flight has worn off, at least under mon we occasionally upset the odds by having a go. but this side is so short on real top flight quality, i've been going for the day out. not the realistic prospect of a result. as for the bullshit that is ffp. finishing bottom pays 100 million, as much as utd got for the last title they won. so that along with the parachute payments and the next tv deal should be enough to keep the owners interested for at least the next 12 months. we won't need to sell. and to be honest who would want them on this seasons evidence. and we still know this squad can cut it at championship level. what we will need is investment if we bounce back.

Did I not read somewhere that parachute payments cannot be used towards ffp.If this is true, we would have to sell and look at getting high earners of our books.
john ridley Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Thought parachute payments count towards turnover, could be wrong ?.
jamesmilner Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Another thread that's a smokescreen for a disastrous season if we go down !!
Fox92 Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Championship promotion race. Sport is all about success not failure.
MooseBreath Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Thought parachute payments count towards turnover, could be wrong ?. Currently and at least the next two seasons they do but it might change in the future.
st albans fox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 i'd rather be in the PL playing man city and chelsea than the championship against rotherham and preston. just a shame that we cant enjoy pitting our wits against the best without fearing the damage that a 5-0 reverse would do to our already fragile mindset. perhaps next time eh?
Matt Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Relegation battle in the Premiership. Why am I not enjoying what's currently happening if i'd rather a Prem relegation battle? Because I want to be competative in that relegation battle not dead and buried whilst playing pathetically.
yorkie1999 Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 I'd just like to go and watch city. One fvkin game a month is ridiculous, i can't even remember the game against stoke.
I blame Wellens Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 I'd just like to go and watch city. One fvkin game a month is ridiculous, i can't even remember the game against stoke. This

Exactly Matt, it's not even a battle is it, it's a wimper, do we actually look like picking up points?, or is it all so predictable, playing negative tactics to prevent getting hammered, even against shit teams like villa.Allegedly Pearson intends to use the 5-4-1 till the end of the season, I read somewhere, so we are ****ed.
Raj Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Yeah but we are playing some great football......we just can't score one more than the opposition or string 3-4 attacking passes together....apart from that we are playing great football......
Soar Fox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 I'd just like to go and watch city. One fvkin game a month is ridiculous, i can't even remember the game against stoke. You've done well to blank out the Crystal Palace game. Wish I could.
Raj Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 You've done well to blank out the Crystal Palace game. Wish I could.I'm trying to blank the whole season out barring one home game!!!!
Brainy Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 Championship promotion race. Sport is all about success not failure. So what happens when we get promoted?
stillwater Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 So would you rather us go down playing this negative 541 formation hoping not to get thrashed but still losing every week. Or would you like to see us go 433 and have a bloody good go at the opposition even if it means we lose a few games by three or four goals and still get relegated? Discusss?

UpTheLeagueFox Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 The top four teams in the Championship have the same points. Norwich are one point behind them. The top seven are covered by just five points. I watched Wolves and Watford draw 2-2 today, really breathless stuff, cracking game. Although disgusted with Forestieri's play acting which got Sako sent off. They'll rescind the red card unless they're utter morons. Sako nearly joined us in the summer but that's a story for another day...

Cmon...top of cchip or in a Prem relegation battle???
Fox92 Posted 7 March 2015 Posted 7 March 2015 So what happens when we get promoted? Be competitive? Push on to win a trophy?
