Burnley & QPR

Burnley and QPR are more likely to get relegated than us according to the betting markets.

So if we perform to the same level of expectation as them we'll finish above both of them.

We still have to finish above a team currently outside the relegation zone so we will still have to outperform expectation levels or one of those will have to under perform to expectation levels.

To be Relegated

Sunderland 18.9%

Hull 21.3%

Aston Villa 28.3%

-----------------------------

Leicester 70.9%

QPR 73.3%

Burnley 75.8%

A win against Hull will throw the cat amongst the pigeons.  :)

what's the point of this thread

lol, what's the point of any thread?

There's plenty of doom and gloom merchants who think we're already relegated.

I'm just stating that there are two clubs in "worse" positions than us and we only need to keep them behind us and pass one of the others.

Gerard you remind me of Gerard from peep show.

How do we keep them behind us? We don't play their games?

Think we just need to focus on how we try and win our games. Forget other teams now. If we win as many games as we can from now on, no-one can have a go at us for not doing enough (from this point onwards).

But they are not currently in a position" worse" than us. It is all pointless supposition, and not fact.

What I take from the betting market data is that they pretty much think the three promoted teams will go back down. The percentage difference compared to Villa or Hull is huge.

If you pull the best looking girl out of three rotters, you've still gone to bed with a rotter.

We can point to different conjecture and things that go for and against us to stay up or not. Fact is, we are highly likley to go down.

If we win 4 of our remaining home games (not impossible, by any means) and beat Burnley and Sunderland away then we'd stand a good chance.

The problem is, that would require a massive upturn in form....but not necessarily performance, which is why there is hope.

What we really need to do is create an overpowering sense of dread.

The longer the note, the more dread.
