Sunderland Sack Poyet

Good for them, bad for us. Not to say Poyet is a poor manager, but his position has become untenable due to the fans reactions.

Much like Paul Lambert and much like Nigel Pearson, except at this moment in time it seems we are sticking with him in the hope he wakes up one morning this week with a personality transplant.

It'll be interesting to see who they bring in, can't think of anyone decent available.

I'd be escorting him from the building before he gets a chance to drop his trousers somewhere and leave a farewell log.

The man to get us up and establish us. If the owners then have real ambition move him on. He knows how to perform in this league and the one below

Dick Advocaat the name being branded about.

That rumour could snowball out of control ... One for the older reader

You mean bandied about. I don't think Dick Advocaat is a brand, unless it's a flavour of condom.

There we go then, thats another team we won't catch.  They will probably get 1 or 2 wins off the back of sacking Poyet which is too many wins for us to catch them.

Sick of how everyone thinks Sack the manager = Better results.

As if everyone has forgotten Solskjaer, Di Canio, Muelensteen, Magath, Ramsey, Di Canio, Redknapp, Adkins, Connor, Hughes, Dalglish, Keane, Dowie, Coyle and Laws.

That's 15 unsuccessful managerial changes since 2010.

It's a shame how well it's worked this season. Far better than usual.

Yeah but that's only because you mention Di Canio twice.   :pearson:

I'm going to be thoroughly pissed off if they unveil Martin Jol, Jurgen Klinsman or De Boer as their new manager, Bigger club than us, but would have come to the premier league in january with Financial backing from the board... Just sods Law that Martin Jol the only decent manager out of work will end up anywhere but us and probably improve them

I agree to an extent, although Di Canio, Ramsey, Connor and Solskjaer were very inexperianced. Muelensteen, Laws and Magath had little to no Premier League experiance, Dowie also alongside Shearer and Dalglish hadn't been in managerial work for God knows how long.

Obviously it's not a given, but there have been plenty of examples of success too - Pulis x2, Sherwood, Pochettino, Pardew, Monk. It's almost certainly too late for us now, but whether or not an earlier change of Pulis or somebody else may have saved us, nobody knows.
